Teresa Reveals How Her Daughters & Louie Reacted to House of Villains: "They're Like..." (EXCLUSIVE)
Plus, Teresa Giudice exclusively spills about what *really* happened with Tiffany "New York" Pollard, Richard Hatch & Larsa Pippen on House of Villains Season 2.
Teresa Giudice has entered the House of Villains casa. Teresa is currently appearing on Season 2 of the E! show alongside other famous faces from the reality TV landscape as they compete for supremacy (and a $200,000 cash prize). Of course, filming House of Villains meant that Teresa would need to be away from her family, which actually took a bit of adjusting for the Garden State mom.
"I was away when I did Dancing with the Stars too a little bit. So, I got a taste of it a little bit [then]. [On House of Villains,] I actually lived there for a while, but it was good," The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom told The Daily Dish in an exclusive phone interview on Oct. 23, before sharing how her family, including her daughters and husband Luis "Louie" Ruelas reacted to her joining the show.
"Louie was very supportive. My kids were really supportive. At first I was like, you know what? I don't know. I think I felt bad being away. And then I was feeling bad and I wanted to give my spot away," she said. "But then my kids, and even Louie, they're like, 'Listen, mom, you're there now.' And Lou said, 'Babe, you're there now.' He said, 'Give it your all, don't give up.'"
She added, "I'm glad I did it, you know, I was skeptical at the beginning about doing the show because of the title. But now that I did it, I'm so happy I did it."
Her time of the show so far is already creating buzz, and yes, memes. In fact, Teresa has one unforgettable catchphrase for the season about how unbreakable she is. "Well, that's exactly who I am. I mean, even my second memoir, it's called Turning The Tables. I've been through a lot in my life," she said. "I'm very strong. So, and it's true, you can't break a diamond — you can't break a diamond at all."
Season 2 of House of Villains has also allowed Teresa the chance to display other sides of herself and she's enjoyed putting her lighter side out there: "Everyone's saying how funny I am on the show and everything, so I can't wait for the fans to see that."
Where Teresa Giudice Stands with Tiffany "New York" Pollard
Since a moment went viral between Teresa and Tiffany Pollard aka New York, Teresa said that things are "all good" between the pair. (She's previously addressed the "shade" regarding her "hairline" made by New York on X, formerly Twitter.)
"She's my roommate, and you'll see how the rest of it plays out," she told The Daily Dish this week. "But, listen, you know, we're all reality stars so it was great meeting everyone. It's interesting to see how we mesh with everyone."
Teresa Giudice Talks About Larsa Pippen Joining House of Villains
Those everyones include Teresa's friend: The Real Housewives of Miami's Larsa Pippen, who joined the house part way into Season 2. "I loved it. We really bonded. I already knew her and we bonded even more," she said referring to her fellow Bravoleb. "So it was great having somebody from my family there."
While she and Larsa may share a "sisterly bond," she noted that not everyone was thrilled that they were in the house together. "I think they all felt threatened," she said. "They're like, we got to get the Housewives out."
Are Teresa Giudice and Richard Hatch Friends on House of Villains?
While filming House of Villains, Teresa also formed a friendship with Richard Hatch of Survivor fame. "He reminded me of my dad," she said. "And we really bonded and he knew who I was from watching the show [RHONJ]. He kind of knew me and it was sweet. I feel like he looked out for me too. We just bonded."
She went on to reveal the "weird" ways Richard reminded of her late dad, Giacinto Gorga. "He just reminding me of my dad and that's so crazy... he knew me so well and then he kind of reminded me a little bit of my dad because my dad had the white beard at one point. But we really got along great and he was always up in really early in the morning and so was I, so we would always talk and hang out."
What Teresa Giudice Learned from Filming House of Villains Season 2
Teresa noted she ultimately decided to join House of Villains for Season 2 because she likes "to try new things."
"I'm not afraid to," she added. "I like making new friends." In the end, she'll walk away from the experience also having learned something about herself.
"The biggest thing I learned about myself: I could conquer anything," she said. "I always like [to] push myself and challenge myself to try something different."
No matter how the season turns out, Teresa revealed, "I'm glad I did it."
House of Villains airs Thursdays at 10pm ET/PT on E! and stream from the beginning on Peacock.
