Why Teresa Giudice Told Gia to "Take a Break" from Law School Plans (EXCLUSIVE)
RHONJ's Teresa Giudice revealed where eldest daughter Gia Giudice stands in her law school journey.
Teresa Giudice just shared a major (and exclusive) update on her daughter Gia Giudice's law career plans.
During a chat with The Daily Dish in October 2024, Teresa revealed that her eldest is currently taking a "break" from studying for the LSAT.
"She took her LSAT. And then she was studying to take her LSATs again, but she wasn’t ready at the moment. So she just wanted to take a break," Teresa said, before sharing what Gia is working on in the meantime.
"Right now and she’s focusing on her influencing career, and she’s doing phenomenal with that," The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member said.
The mom of four went on to reveal the major piece of advice she gave to her daughter as she's been figuring out her next chapter.
"I told her, I [said], 'Listen, you have your whole life ahead of you,'" Teresa continued. "She finished college, and she did great, and I’m like, 'You know what, take a break, focus on your influencing career... then you can go back to studying and take your LSATs again.'"
Gia Giudice's journey to becoming a lawyer
After graduating with a degree in criminal justice from Rutgers University, Gia initially wanted to pursue immigration law because of her dad, Joe Giudice.
Back in December 2023, the Rutgers University grad spoke to OK! Magazine about the "pressure" she's been feeling to go to law school sooner rather than later.
"I think there's a lot of pressure coming out of school [to get] everything done right away,” she told the outlet. "Everyone kind of expects you to have all the answers, especially in the public eye. I'm just taking it one day at a time and I'm kind of just doing what makes me happy."
Teresa Giudice wants to open a restaurant with Gia Giudice
As Gia debates whether law school is the right next move, she may soon be adding a new title to her resume: restaurateur.
While chatting with The Daily Dish, Teresa revealed that she's thinking about opening up an Italian restaurant in New Jersey — and she wants Gia to help.
"Gia will be helping. She would want to work there also and help me," Teresa said. "And the girls, too. So it'd be like, me and the girls."
She added that she's "in the process" of "looking at places" that could be the right fit for her concept. At the moment, she doesn't "know if it's gonna happen."
"I'm hoping to lock it in before the end of the year, but I'm working on it," she concluded.
