Jeff Lewis Finally Sells "Old Hollywood" House Gage Edward Designed at $2M Less Than Ask
Amid a custody battle with his ex, the Flipping Out designer is saying goodbye to the couple’s collaborative effort.
After being on the market for nearly a year, Jeff Lewis is finally bidding adieu to “Old Hollywood,” the home he simply can’t quit.
Backstory: Jeff first bought the Hollywood Boulevard property way back in 2002 for under a million dollars. (Yep, you read that right!) He then flipped it and made a tidy profit, only to buy it again in 2015 for $2.84 million dollars. As viewers watched on Flipping Out, Jeff and his then-partner Gage Edward spent nearly three years completely gutting the home and rebuilding it from scratch, with Gage leading the design effort on the project. When the sleek, three-bedroom, five-bathroom house was finally finished — and looked simply stunning! — the couple listed the home in late 2018 for a $7.95 million.
Sadly, Jeff and Gage announced their separation after 10 years together in early 2019. Since then, amid an increasingly contentious custody battle over their daughter Monroe, Jeff has continuously dropped the price of the 4,334-square-foot house. And this month, “Old Hollywood” finally sold for $5.85 million… a whopping $2 million less than the original asking price. We're sure saying goodbye to the property is a mixed bag of emotions for Jeff, but the designer should be proud of what an architectural masterpiece the home turned out to be.
