Kate Chastain Just Moved into a New House: “Baby Needed a Craftsman Bungalow”
The Below Deck alum, who is currently eight months pregnant, shared a look at her “nesting vibes” as she gets settled in a new home.
Kate Chastain is getting settled in a gorgeous new home.
On March 25, the pregnant Below Deck alum shared an Instagram Story photo of an empty house where she sat on the wood floor with her dog. “Baby needed a craftsman bungalow,” she wrote, adding heart, house, and baby bottle emojis. Two days later, she posted an Instagram Story update, showing a room filled with several boxes, a dining table, chairs, and a beautiful rug. “Moving + 8 months pregnant nesting vibes = going into full yacht charter prep mode,” she wrote. After Kate shared the latter photo on Twitter, she shared details about the rug: “It’s an antique and I’m obsessed.”
Kate has relocated several times throughout the past few years. After moving into an apartment in New York City’s West Village neighborhood in March 2020, she packed her bags and headed to Florida just weeks later. In January 2021, Kate shared on Bravo’s Chat Room that she was “back in New York,” but in April of the same year, she went back to Florida and explained in an Instagram Story, “We’ve moved [seven] times since March 1, 2020… So [I] decided to buy a place.”
While living in her condo, which boasted a spacious balcony, Kate had a neighbor she was very familiar with. On the March 27 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Kate and fellow Below Deck alum Ben Robinson appeared as virtual guests. “Do you live in the same building as Kate Chastain?” Andy asked the chef. “Like, are you two one floor apart right now?” In unison, the two answered, “Yes.”
During her WWHL appearance, Kate shared a sweet update on her pregnancy. “I’m due soon,” she said. “I can’t wait.”
Kate announced in December 2022 that she was expecting, writing in an Instagram Story, “I’m already planning so many birthday theme parties for you.” Over the past several months, Kate has continued to open up about her experience as she prepares to welcome her baby in the near future. “Pregnancy is so exciting; one minute you think it’s all cute and funny that you’ve been really enjoying chewing ice lately and the next minute a [Google] search on the topic has you convinced you’re going to die of anemia. FUN,” she tweeted on March 22, two weeks after sharing, “ice water gives me heartburn.”
