Josiah Carter Reveals His Exciting New Venture After Below Deck
"We finally did it," the Below Deck alum declared while sharing his new project with his boyfriend, Michael Groves.
Over the last six months, Josiah Carter and his boyfriend, Michael Groves, have been hard at work on a home renovation. Based on a recent Instagram Story from the Below Deck alum, it looks like the abode is getting closer to completion. "Deciding [colors] for the house we're renovating," Josiah captioned the photo of AkzoNobel's Perfectly Taupe. "This is for the hallway."
In November 2020, Josiah revealed the details of the project, explaining, "For like the past year now, Mike and I have been talking about trying to buy a little house and do a little project. It's something I've been really, really interested in and I know he's been really interested in it as well and we have finally done it and I'm so excited. I can't wait to do it."
"It's been like quite a hard, little long journey for us because it's not very easy to just go out and buy a house, but we finally did it," he added. "It needs a lot of work. It needs a lot of TLC, but hopefully, we can do it."
Josiah has been documenting the renovation process on both his personal Instagram account as well as a separate account, Carter Groves Homes, which has a bio that reads, "Follow us on the renovation of our first house in Timperley, Manchester." In an April 27 post on that account, Josiah shared a particularly exhilarating moment in the renovation process. "The kitchen is finally going in," he wrote. "Probably one of the most exciting days (for me anyway). I’ve had the idea for this kitchen since we looked at the house, so it’s really nice to see it coming together."
Although it seems this could potentially be the first of many home renovations for the couple, Josiah hasn't ruled out continuing to work at sea. In a March Instagram post in which he reflecting on being unable to step in as Elizabeth Frankini's replacement on Below Deck Season 8 one year prior, Josiah wrote, "Hopefully I can get back out to the yachts this summer."
While we wait to see the finished house, check out the in-progress renovation here:
