This Is What SUR Is Really Like on Valentine's Day
Scheana Shay, Ariana Madix, and Jax Taylor open up about waiting tables on the most romantic day of the year.
As Vanderpump Rules viewers have seen, SUR gets pre-tty crazy during L.A. Pride. But on a certain holiday that has more hearts than rainbows, the West Hollywood hotspot is also hopping.
Chatting with BravoTV.com, Jax Taylor had to hand it to the sexy, unique restaurant: "Valentine’s Day at SUR is bananas!" he said. "They put the balloons, they do a set menu. Yeah, Valentine’s Day at SUR Restaurant is chaotic."
Scheana Shay also weighed in on spending the love-themed holiday at the restaurant. "I would say [my worst Valentine's Day was] working at SUR, but I made a lot of money that year, so it wasn’t that bad." She continued, "Actually, I don’t think I’ve had a bad Valentine’s Day because even when I was single, I went out with six of my guy friends and posted it all over just to make Rob jealous — and it’s so much fun doing that."

For her part, Ariana Madix said that working as a SURver on Valentine's Day has disillusioned her and boyfriend Tom Sandoval from making their own dinner plans on February 14. "Working in the service industry for so long, it’s kind of hard to want to be a Valentine’s Day couple because we’ve seen how strong some bars basically scam you," she shared. "We’ve obviously worked those nights, so we’ve benefitted from the scam, but ... I would rather go out the night before or the night after, when there isn’t a prefixe menu for a gagillion dollars. And it’s basically the same thing."
