Tom Schwartz moved into a new apartment last year, but the Vanderpump Rules cast member initially struggled to feel settled there.

How to Watch

Watch Vanderpump Rules on Peacock and the Bravo app.

In the video above, which is a sneak peek at the February 22 episode of Vanderpump Rules, Tom looked around at the numerous unpacked boxes filling his Valley Village apartment and repeatedly told himself, “It’s just a phase.” The video gives a look inside his kitchen (where bananas and packaged items were sprawled across the countertops), his yet-to-be-hung artwork (including a “Bubba” piece from his former home with Katie Maloney), and boxes filled with shoes, hats, decor, and more. One bedroom was furnished with a bed, nightstand, and treadmill, while the other had a bed frame with no mattress and a large pile of clothing and bedding on the floor. Tom told Scheana Shay, who was there to record her podcast, that he was “so embarrassed by [his] place,” adding, “It’s depressing.”

Despite the apartment being a bit of a mess, Tom revealed that his friend Jo was staying with him at the time, and Scheana had no doubts when he said they weren’t hooking up. “I legit believe him,” she said. “Because the way this man is living right now, he’s definitely not getting it up.”

Tom and Katie moved out of their former house in June 2022. Two months later, Tom shared his mixed feelings about his new home on an episode of Katie’s Dear Media podcast, You’re Gonna Love Me. “I don’t need much. I’m low maintenance. I can live in a small, little apartment,” he said. “It’s just, living in a small, little apartment that you have to pay $3,500 a month for? It’s hard not to be salty. You know what I mean? It’s smaller than my apartment in college.”

However, Tom clarified, “I’m super grateful to have a roof over my head, you know? I do like my apartment. It’s just hard to go from what we had to that.”

Katie had a different outlook on Tom’s new digs. “I think your apartment is beautiful,” she said. “You just gotta, like, make it your own.” Additionally, she noted, “You don’t have to stay there forever.”

As viewers saw on the Season 10 premiere of Vanderpump Rules, Katie quickly settled into her own new apartment. “I’m really excited to just kind of make my own little space, my own little sanctuary,” she said on an episode of her podcast shortly after moving in. “I’ve been having fun sort of planning what I want it to look like, what I want the vibes to be. I’ve, like, bought some new furniture. I’m doing little DIY projects. It’s coming together.”

Several other cast members have recently relocated as well. Raquel Leviss has a new apartment after temporarily residing in Scheana’s home for several months, and Scheana and Brock Davies moved from their gorgeous penthouse apartment to a new home. As James Kennedy revealed during the Season 10 premiere, he and Ally Lewber are living together in a spacious neutral-hued apartment.
