Padma Lakshmi Celebrates Embracing Being a Woman Online and In Real Life

Bravo's Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi is the best kind of Instagrammer: aspirational, inspirational, and honest all at once. Yes, Padma is incredible when it comes to engaging with her fans on the social media platform — sometimes in highly personal and meaningful ways. And sometimes that means using her feed to simply give the people what they want.

How to Watch

Watch Top Chef on Bravo and next day on Peacock.

Consider Padma's recent post in which she jumped on the so-called "ASMR" trend. For the uninitiated, that's a type of content meant to provoke an "autonomous sensory meridian response," a pleasant feeling that can come with tingling or chills.

Sharing a clip of herself crunching away upon her favorite pom toast (pomegranate seeds and peanut butter on toast), she wrote, "I felt a little awkward doing this, but you guys asked for it! (apologies to my followers with misophonia)."

Behold:

Delightful, right? Yes, so, so much, according to many commenters.

"This is the sexiest thing I have ever seen."

"Can you make a ringtone of this crunch?"

"Literally love everything about this. Crunchy food is the BEST ASMR."

"Why is this so addicting to watch?"

"Padma, this is what so many of us have been waiting for."

Even those among her half-million-plus followers with "misopohonia" — those who can't deal with noises — had to get on board.

"OMG I totally have misophonia, but somehow hearing you crunch is much more tolerable than [listening to] my teenage boys."

"My misophonia stands void in your case. I guess it's the diverted attention..."
