Shannon Storms Beador & Her Daughters Share a Hilarious Look at Their Thanksgiving Cooking Session
The RHOC cast member and her girls tried cooking a turkey for the first time. See how it turned out.
Thanksgiving 2024 marked a surprising first for the Beador family.
Like millions of Americans across the country, Shannon Storms Beador celebrated the holiday by preparing a home-cooked meal for her loved ones. However, the experience wasn’t exactly smooth, as The Real Housewives of Orange County mom had never roasted a turkey before. Shannon revealed this in several Instagram posts that showed her and her daughters, Sophie and Adeline Beador, struggling to navigate their cooking session.
Shannon Beador makes a turkey for the first time: "What is this?"
“I’ve never cooked a turkey before… It’s just a small one because there’s just a couple of us,” a visibly confused Shannon said while analyzing the raw turkey. “Is this the heart? It looks like there is ventricles. What is it? Is it the neck?”
The Housewife then removed the neck from the turkey, causing her and her daughters to scream in disgust.
“I literally want to vomit,” Shannon joked.
“You’re so brave,” Sophie added. “I don’t think we’re cut out to make turkey. We’re just girls.”
Was Shannon's Thanksgiving meal a success?
The Beador women didn’t give up. After removing some of the giblets and the hock lock, Shannon rubbed the poultry with butter, placed it in an oven bag, and began roasting it. She returned to social media several hours later to reveal the final results. Although she wasn’t sure if the turkey had been fully cooked, Shannon decided to do a little taste test and determined it was ready to be served.
“It turned out!!! Was actually good!” the OC mom said in a subsequent video. “I really encourage using the oven bag!!! Was so easy! Now to just get a raw turkey without the neck…”
Shannon shares a sweet family photo with her daughters and dad
Shannon’s Thanksgiving dinner included staples like stuffing, sweet potato casserole, green beans, cranberry sauce, and gravy. The Beadors were joined by Shannon’s dad, Gene, and of course the family dog, Archie. Shannon’s other daughter, Stella, did not attend this year’s Thanksgiving as she’s in her second year studying abroad in Paris.
While Stella's away in France, Adeline and Sophie are both living in New York City. The former is a sophomore at Parson’s School of Design in Manhattan, while the latter moved to the Big Apple earlier this year for a job opportunity.
“Happy Thanksgiving from the Storms/Beador family!” Shannon captioned a Thanksgiving family photo. “Beyond grateful for my family and cannot wait to have Stella home for Christmas!”
