Padma Lakshmi, Tom Colicchio Expose the Amazing Reality of What "Actually Happens" While Filming Top Chef

With Bravo's Top Chef underway now in Kentucky, we've been learning a lot about what goes on behind the scenes on the show — now in its 16th season. For one thing, Padma Lakshmi recently revealed what part of Top Chef is actually scripted. And we also learned why the fridges in the kitchen are so far apart. Plus, a Top Chef top exec recently told The Feast about a very charming habit Tom Colicchio is known for when he's on set.

Now, thanks to Padma, we know even more about life on set — and some of Tom's less universally charming (yet extremely inspirational) on-set habits! Padma shared a new Instagram post geotagged to Louisville, Kentucky, which she captioned, "What *actually* happens behind-the-scenes on @bravotopchef."

The image is richer than Padma's favorite over-the-top indulgent holiday breakfast treat: It shows the pair, splayed out on chaise lounges, assuming a very off-duty stance. While Padma appears to have fallen victim to a food coma (yes, she hashtagged it — and added another for "permabloat") — Tom flips the bird to the camera.

Let's just agree to call these two — who are already known to have some of the best jobs on the planet — the epitome of work-life-balance goals.
