Karen Huger Shares Her Thoughts on Mia Thornton’s Style: “It’s Entertaining”
The Grande Dame called her RHOP castmate’s fashion “connect-the-dots chic” on a recent WWHL appearance.
During a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Karen Huger was asked some rapid-fire questions about castmates Mia Thornton and Dr. Wendy Osefo amid the ongoing feud between the two women on The Real Housewives of Potomac. As you can watch in the video above, one of the questions prompted Karen to weigh in on who “has better style” and her answer was… a little messy.
“It just depends on what you’re going for,” Karen began on the December 11 episode. “Wendy’s elegance and Mia is… connect-the-dots chic.”
The comment caused a slight pause from host Andy Cohen and also elicited a shocked face on Eva Marcille, who joined the Grande Dame in the Clubhouse.
“I’m gonna sip,” Eva joked, grabbing her cocktail to avoid any further commentary on the subject. Andy, however, was of course ready to ask for The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum’s hot take.
“Is ‘connect-the-dots chic’ considered a compliment?” Andy asked.
“From my years in fashion — I started at 17 — ‘connect-the-dots chic’ would definitely be a read,” Eva revealed, causing Andy to agree.
“Read with a capital R,” he quipped.
Karen went on to say that she does like Mia’s fashion, but stood by her “connect-the-dots” analysis. “It just depends on the occasion,” the businesswoman noted.
“You don’t like it. If you liked it, you would say, ‘I like it’!” Eva exclaimed.
“I like it because it’s entertaining,” Karen defended. “It’s always up near the crotch, though.”
Knowing how critical Karen has been of Gizelle Bryant’s fashions, Andy then wondered if she felt Mia’s style sense was better than their castmate’s.
“Uh… yes,” Karen conceded with a laugh.
