Gizelle Bryant Doesn’t “Give a Damn” What You Think of Her Chunky Highlights
The RHOP mom shared her reaction to some of her castmates insulting her interview look, including saying she had “skunk hair.”
Whether it’s commentary on her home decor or her fashion, Gizelle Bryant is used to her The Real Housewives of Potomac castmates weighing in on her style choices, but she tends to remain unbothered. Most recently, Gizelle shared her thoughts after a few of her castmates had some strong words about the chunky highlights she sported in one of her RHOP Season 7 interview looks.
When asked by Today.com for her reaction to Karen Huger referring to the ’do as “skunk hair,” Dr. Wendy Osefo calling it “tragic,” and Candiace Dillard Bassett deeming the look “criminally offensive,” Gizelle explained she had no interest in changing her style based on anyone’s opinions of it.
“I don’t give a damn [what people say],” she declared. “What I wear is what I wear. What my house looks like is what my house looks like, I don’t care. As long as I’m happy with it, I’m going with it.”
Gizelle shared similar sentiments during RHOP’s Season 5 when discussing the chatter about her home. “I just like things that I like, and it all works together,” she said at the time. “It works for me.”
Although Gizelle seems to be unfazed by some of her castmates’ negative feedback about this particular interview look, she was all about Ashley Darby imitating it for her epic 2022 Halloween costume. In an Instagram video in which Ashley re-created some of her castmates’ most memorable interview styles, Ashley sported a V-neck dress and a wig that looked nearly identical to Gizelle’s streaked ’do. “I’m dying!!!!” Gizelle commented on the post, adding four laughing emojis. “Yessss!”
