See Inside the Gorga Family’s Over-the-Top Easter Celebration at Home
RHONJ cast member Melissa Gorga’s holiday was filled with mouthwatering food, a variety of drinks, and some very fun visitors.
Food, drinks, and loved ones. The Gorgas had all the ingredients for the perfect holiday gathering.
As expected, The Real Housewives of New Jersey family celebrated Easter Sunday at their beautiful new home in Franklin Lakes, where they were joined by friends and family. Although Melissa Gorga was plenty busy with cooking and hosting duties, she took some time to post a few videos of the joyous get-together.
The RHONJ mom began by sharing clips of her cooking garlic, green peppers, and asparagus at the stove. Her husband, Joe Gorga, zoomed in on the delicious-looking food and jokingly took credit for them.
“Oh yeah. Happy Easter. Look at this, what I made,” he said, before Melissa interjected, “You wish.”
“I made it. I did,” he playfully pushed back. “She wants all the credit… You wanna sink your teeth into that.”
Attendees included Frank Catania and John Fuda, the husband of RHONJ’s Rachel Fuda. At one point during the day, Joe pulled John aside to film a quick food review. Joe asked his friend to try the aforementioned sautéed greens and provide his honest opinion.
“Try this. I wanna see your face when you try it,” Joe said in the video. “Eat it the way Italians eat it.”
John took a bite and immediately gave a nod of approval.
“Wow. Very good. Amazing,” he said. “Who made it?”
“Who do you think?” Joe responded. “I made it! Look at this food. I made it… Who caters? We don’t cater. We’re Italian!”
The Gorgas were also joined by Melissa’s mom, Donna Marco, and Melissa’s older sister, Lysa Simpson. The latter posted videos of the day’s event, showing Melissa behind the bar whipping up a “delish cosmo.” Lysa also filmed a quick Instagram Story revealing a sweet Easter tradition involving Joe.
“So what do I make for you every Easter?” she asked her brother-in-law.
“A ham, because my mother always made it,” Joe said before Lysa confirmed that she uses his late mom’s recipe. “You’re so amazing, and it reminds me of my mother. You’re the best.”
The family also provided glimpses of a shrimp platter, a sizable charcuterie board, more dishes, and a beautiful bouquet of cupcakes.
But that wasn’t all. The Easter celebration also included some music and dancing, as well as a casual wine tasting.
Throughout her time on RHONJ, Melissa has proved to be a terrific hostess. She’s thrown lavish Christmas parties, over-the-top birthday bashes, and some amazing shindigs at the Jersey Shore.
