There’s a New Development in the Jennifer Aydin & Dolores Catania “Old Handbag” Drama
Here’s where the RHONJ castmates stand after Jennifer said Dolores looked like “an old f--king handbag.”
It was the diss that rocked Dolores Catania’s charity calendar photo shoot. On the Season 13 premiere of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Jennifer Aydin accused Dolores of looking like “an old f--king handbag” after exchanging heated words with her at Margaret Josephs’ post-shoot party.
An insult like that sticks! (Just like an insult about, say, “a monkey’s a--hole.”) So when Jennifer appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen after slinging the infamous diss, she had some explaining to do. If you’re keeping track of the “old handbag” drama, here’s your latest update:
While she was in the Clubhouse, Jennifer and fellow guest Cirie Fields played “Keep the Faithful.” During the game, Andy asked Cirie, “Do you believe that Dolores looks like an old handbag?” Cirie said, “No, I don’t. I love Dolores.” And Cirie wasn’t the only one who showed Dolores some love. “I take that back!” Jennifer said.
Did you hear that? It looks like the “old bag” insult is old news, and the women are ready to move forward. And consider this: When Dolores appeared on WWHL on February 7, she also seemed ready to bury the hatchet. (Or should we say bury the satchel?) “I wasn’t that upset about [the insult],” Dolores shared back then. “It’s OK. She apologized.”
It looks like a reconciliation is in the bag.
