Margaret Josephs Is Matching Her Pants with Her Chairs and We're Obsessed
The Real Housewives of New Jersey fashion designer is schooling us in home design now, too.
When it comes to fashion, I have a rule about leopard — it’s fabulous, but only in doses. For example, if you’re going to wear all black, a leopard pump or clutch is the perfect accent. Or if you’re going to wear a leopard-print sweater, opt for neutrals everywhere else. It seems the same rule applies to leopard when it comes to home design, as we learned from The Real Housewives of New Jersey 's Margaret Josephs this weekend. (RHONJ airs Wednesdays at 9/8c!)
Never one to shy away from a bold print, Margaret posted a photo of herself donning to-die-for leopard pants, alongside a to-die-for leopard-print desk chair. “A leopard never changes her spots and why should I?” Margaret joked, and we couldn’t agree more! Following my rule above, Margaret paired her pair of Lucite-and-leopard chairs with a sleek Parsons-esque table that she uses for chess. (Sidenote: Southern Charm's Kathryn C. Dennis broke my leopard design rule over the weekend… but I’ll admit I’m 100 percent on board with her more-is-more décor philosophy!)
Because I’m so obsessed with Margaret’s pattern pop, I combed the internet for a similar chair, and found some solid options listed below. Plus, I threw in a Lucite-legged bench (with a furry seat, natch) for good measure, because we can all use a little Lucite in our lives, right? Right.
Cheers to more leopard patterns in 2019!
