Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave Shows How She Stocks Her Fridge for Fast, Healthy — and Foolproof — Dieting (VIDEO)
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills accountability coach stays fit on the go by following one main principle: preparedness.
We already know what Kyle Richards keeps in her fridge — The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills pal gave us an intimate tour behind its doors, even though it revealed some of her surprising (even "scary") diet secrets. And now it's time to peer inside Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave's refrigerator, thanks to a new fridge tour led by Teddi herself. (Watch the clip above for the full experience.)
Opening the door to her fridge, Teddi shows off its generally nutritious contents — just as you might expect. "I stock it with a bunch of pre-cut fruits and veggies so that I never have an excuse," she says. "Like, 'Oh, I don’t want to have to cut up that cucumber,' or, 'I still need to wash and cut the strawberries.'"
For Teddi, preparation is key to a healthy — busy, multitasking — life. "I have all my pre-packaged meals in here," she shows off. "I eat Gracefully Fed — there are so many different options so whatever I’m in the mood for... My husband does Macro Plate... As you can tell, I’m not the master chef."
Teddi also shares fixings for her "go-to favorite lunch that I make myself." Her recipe includes, "arugula, Seeds of Change [quinoa and brown rice mix] — it has like a little yummy flavor in it. I just heat that up, throw in some cucumbers, tomato."
And for her easy homemade salad dressing: "I have my pre-made dressings here so I’m not tempted to eat some crummy store-bought [product] that’s filled with a bunch of crap. This is olive oil, lemon juice, and a little bit of salt and pepper," she says. "I just toss that in a bowl and I’m good to go."
Elsewhere in her kitchen, Teddi also stores easy pre-prepped snacks for all ages. "Of course I have lots of fruit that my kids can grab themselves," she says. "They’re already pre-washed — because they’re hungry every 11 and half minutes. So these are easy to grab for them."
And in the clip, Teddi also reveals what she calls her "one guilty pleasure." Opening a high cabinet, she says, "I have one of these a day — don’t ell the kids where I stash them!" Check out the clip to see what it is!
