Wendy Williams Slams Kim Kardashian for "Bullying" Jack in the Box Tweet: "Who Does She Think She Is?"
Kim Kardashian informed her 61 million Twitter followers that she had beef with Jack in the Box — and Wendy Williams isn't having it.
Kim Kardashian tweeted a sharp message to Jack in the Box on May 20 that swiftly went viral. Kim told her Twitter followers: "Hey, Jack In The Box I have a serious complaint but I won’t fully put you on blast, check your corporate email inbox or send me a DM with direct person for my team to contact. Pronto!"
Despite the restraint Kim claimed she was showing, Twitter was all over it — needless to say. Fast-food competitors like Wendy's and Burger King jumped in with on-brand jokes. And then RHONY icon Bethenny Frankel jumped in with some mic-dropping jokes of her own. Hey, when you have 61 million Twitter followers, as Kim does, your Jack in the Box tweet takes on a life of its own among public personalities... "pronto."
Next to jump into the fray: Wendy Williams. The TV personality, publicly in the throes of her own divorce and addiction battles, had pretty strong feelings about Kim's decision making.
"Who does she think she is?" Williams asked on her show.
She also expressed concern about the vague nature of Kim's complaint. “Don’t string people along," she said. "What this sounds like is you’re using your celebrity and your newfound business head for pomposity and bullying."
She went on to speculate about what ticked Kim off so royally: "There’s not a bone in me that believes she’s complaining because they left cheese off of a burger. It’s not like that. Maybe they saw a worker being mistreated or a worker do something wrong or something wasn’t right in the restaurant so she was pissed. She wanted to do good for the people, that’s what I believe in my mind. But the way she went about it just makes her sound like an a--."
For her part, Bethenny made more generous assumptions about the motives behind Kim's very public message, noting that she's always known the Keeping Up With the Kardashians mom to be "sweet."
