Andy Cohen Tests Positive for Coronavirus
The WWHL host shared that he received the news "after a few days of self-quarantine."
Andy Cohen announced that he has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19). The Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host shared the news on Instagram on Friday, March 20.
"After a few days of self-quarantine, and not feeling great, I have tested positive for coronavirus," he wrote. "As much as I felt like I could push through whatever I was feeling to do [WWHL] from home, we’re putting a pin in that for now so I can focus on getting better. I want to thank all the medical professionals who are working tirelessly for all of us, and urge everybody to stay home and take care of themselves."
WWHL, which had suspended production earlier this month, had previously planned to return this Sunday, March 22, airing from Andy's NYC apartment, where it would be filmed remotely with guest interviews being filmed via video chat, as well as production staff continuing to work from home. As Andy said in his Instagram caption, those plans are now being halted.
