Why Kelly Killoren Bensimon Called Luann de Lesseps a "Male Magnet" on RHUGT
Luann de Lesseps is determined to have a good time on Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy.
Luann de Lesseps is single and ready to mingle as she returns to St. Barts with some of The Real Housewives of New York City ladies for The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy. Fans have watched the mother of two since she was married to her first husband, Count Alexandre de Lesseps, as well as her romantic journeys with divorce, love, heartbreak, and another marriage and divorce.
So, when 10 men arrived at the St. Barts vacation villa to party with the ‘Wives in Episode 2 of RHONY Legacy, Luann and the single Sonja Morgan were more than ready.
“We’re off to the races,” Sonja announced, but Dorinda Medley was less confident in her own flirting skills compared to her stiff competition — mainly, Luann.
“With these sharks, I’ll never get a bite,” Dorinda said. “I’ll be lucky to have half a worm. I’ll get chum.”
Luann flirts at RHUGT Party
The competition to find a man started immediately when Luann was speaking to a guest, only to have Sonja come up, insist she was the one who invited him to the party earlier in the day, and whisk him off.
“I have to keep him away from my girlfriend, The Countess,” Sonja explained.
Undeterred, Luann continued to work the party, and spoke effortlessly to several of the men by the pool. It prompted Kelly Killoren Bensimon and Kristen Taekman to admire Luann’s flirting.
“Luann is SO good with men — look at her,” Kelly said to Kristen. “She has a fine line of like understanding men and flirting. Like, she speaks their language to make them comfortable …”
“And then she goes in for the kill!” Kristen added.
Kelly explained her admiration in her confessional.
“I don’t know what it is,” she said of Luann. “She is a male magnet. [In a deep voice] 'Hello.' And then she does this, [lifts] her shoulders. I’m like, ‘Oh my god, can my shoulders do that?’”
Did the pirate make a return to St. Barts?
Fans of RHONY will remember the infamous pirate from the Season 5 trip to St. Barts, named Tomas Ribeiro, who caused some booty call drama between Luann and her then-boyfriend, Jacques Azoulay, after Luann was caught on a hot mic trying to deny the pirate had come back to the villa with her. The moment turned the trip into one of the most memorable RHONY vacations.
Did the pirate return on RHUGT? Well, sort of.
The ‘Wives realized one of the party guests, Paul, looked “a little like the pirate” due to his longer curly hair and facial hair. So, they asked Paul to dress up in a pirate costume and surprise Luann as a prank.
“This guy’s cute, but he’s no Johnny Depp,” Luann said in her confessional. “This guy, he looks younger than the pirate did 10 years ago.”
Still, the ‘Wives all took a group picture with the new pirate as a throwback to the last girls trip in St. Barts.
