Kelly Bensimon Shows Off Her "Simple and Chic" NYC Bedroom: "I Hope You Love It"
The RHONY alum also shared some interior design tips to make your home "pop."
Kelly Killoren Bensimon has shared another peek inside her “nest.”
As she continues to navigate her new chapter, The Real Housewives of New York City alum took some time to show off several additions to her downtown Manhattan apartment — specifically to her bedroom.
Kelly posted a November 1 TikTok video highlighting the room’s hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, and unadorned white walls. Although the decor was kept relatively minimal, the neutral tones and natural lighting gave the space an airy yet cozy vibe.

“Here are a couple of things that I love about my bedroom. I don’t know if you guys know, but my bedroom is my favorite room,” Kelly said before gushing over her SLEEP, by Santi cream-colored comforter. “So here we’re going to start with Santi. You have to get this. It’s so soft, so cozy. I literally am sleeping in this like it is a nest.”
Kelly then turned her direction to the closet, which faced the foot of her bed. The real estate agent said the room previously had free-standing cabinets in the closet nook; however, she and her interior design consultant, Gregory Bissonnette, decided to remove the units and install white sliding doors.
“We put in these sheer barn doors, so it’s super easy,” she explained. “All my clothes are inside. I’m going to give you a sneak peek at my closet but not today.”
Kelly Bensimon offers a decor tip: "If you want that pop..."
Kelly then provided a quick tip for those who wanted to add a little “pop” to their homes.
“If you want a bougier vibe with a barn door, this can be lacquer,” she said while pointing to the closet doors.
Kelly explained that to get the desired effect of lacquer, it's important to contrast the shiny elements with a matte finish. For example, one could do lacquer panels around the doorway and a flat finish on the actual door.
“If you want that pop in your apartment, it’s a really, really easy way of upgrading your apartment,” she said. “Lacquer is so hot but it has to be with matte. So lacquer, matte, lacquer, matte, that’s the pattern.”
She then turned the viewers’ direction toward the TV mounted above her closet.
“I love simple and chic,” she wrote in the post. “Life needs to be easy!”
Kelly Bensimon splits from her ex-fiancé, Scott Litner
According to Page Six, Kelly moved back into a historic apartment building after she and Scott Litner called off their engagement over the summer. The former Housewife confirmed she and her ex-fiancé decided to separate just days before they were set to tie the knot.
“Ultimately, my decision is nobody’s business, but I understand that there is speculation and gossip, and I want to put an end to all of it,” she told People magazine in June. “To be clear, he refused to sign a prenuptial agreement, and I refused to marry him. Full stop.”
