Erin Lichy Shops for Thousands of Dollars Worth of Diamonds in New RHONY Sneak Peek

The Housewives are pulling out all the stops for Erin Lichy's black-tie vow renewal party.

By Caitlin Schunn

It might look like a music festival poster to some, but the invites are out to Erin Lichy’s 10th wedding anniversary vow renewal — and the ladies have some thoughts, as seen in the sneak peek for Season 14, Episode 6 of The Real Housewives of New York City (which you can watch above).

How to Watch

Watch the Season 15 premiere of The Real Housewives of New York City on October 1st at 9/8c on Bravo and stream next day on Peacock.

Besides the invites, we’re also getting our first look at the outfits, and more importantly, the bling the ‘Wives plan to wear to the big event, including the blushing bride herself.

Ubah Introduces Erin to Jacob Arabo

In the sneak peek, Ubah Hassan introduced Erin to famed jewelry designer Jacob Arabo.

“Jacob is the jeweler to the stars, to the one percent,” Ubah said in her confessional. “If you want to just shine bright like a diamond, you go to Jacob.”

Ubah then dropped a big bomb: Erin was allowed to pick out jewelry from the store to borrow for her vow renewal party.

“I’m not passing up millions of dollars worth of diamonds to wear for my anniversary party,” Erin said in her confessional. “Thank you, Ubah!”

Arabo and Ubah shared with Erin that they met years ago in Monaco at a charity event. Then, Erin began trying on jewelry that was fabulous enough to make us all weep with jealousy.

A diamond mesh glove? It’ll cost you $600,000. A diamond purse? That’ll be $240,000. Then Erin tried on a pair of earrings that Arabo called “not expensive.” The price tag on those? $224,000.

“Oh nothing,” Erin joked. “Nothing. That’s like a down payment on a house.”

In total, Erin ended up borrowing nearly half a million dollars worth of diamonds to wear at her party.

Brynn Gets a Black-Tie Party Dress

While Erin got hooked up with diamonds, Brynn Whitfield visited fashion stylist Junji at Kirna Zabete to put together a look for what she called “creative black tie.” Jessel Taank, who met Brynn at the shop, wholeheartedly approved of the shopping location.

“Kirna Zabete is quintessential New York,” Jessel said in her confessional. “The best fashion. Everything’s on trend. It’s honestly my Disneyland.”

As Jessel and Brynn looked through the racks of clothes, Brynn revealed she was just on a date and “left him at a party.”

“I just got bored, and I was like, ‘I’m going to leave,’ so I just left,” she told Jessel. “I texted him when I got home and I was like, ‘Oops, I left.’”

Eventually, Brynn tried on a slinky black halter top dress with an open back.

“Wow, Brynn, you said you wanted to do something black-tie, and honey, that is it!” Jessel exclaimed when she saw Brynn. “Your body is ridiculous.”

But then talk turned to the invites to Erin’s party, as Jessel pointed out the party had several sponsors.

“OK, I don’t recognize any of these brands,” Brynn said. “It’s like a Coachella poster. It’s like ‘brought to you by.’ But hell, to each his own, I mean look, they’re the ones with a house in the Hamptons, not me, so.”

Jessel and Erin’s meet-up for coffee in Episode 5 — and the fact that it ended badly — is also topic of conversation at the jewelry shop, and at the clothing shop, teasing more drama to come for the ‘Wives. Watch the sneak peek to see more, and then tune into the all-new RHONY episode Sunday, Aug. 20 at 9/8c on Bravo and the next day on Peacock.
