Vicki Gunvalson's Daughter Briana Culberson Reacts to Her Mom's RHOC Departure
"It’s very sad and the end of a wonderful journey for my mom," The Real Housewives of Orange County daughter said.
Briana Culberson is looking back on mom Vicki Gunvalson's 14 seasons on The Real Housewives of Orange County following the OG of the OC's recent announcement that she will not be returning to the show next season.
Briana's husband, Ryan Culberson, shared a photo of himself and his wife on Instagram on January 25, and in the comments to that post, one follower asked for Briana's thoughts on her mother's recent announcement about her future on RHOC. "I’m not really a 'statement' kind of girl, but I will say that it’s very sad and the end of a wonderful journey for my mom. We’ve had a lot of fun as a family on the show and I’m very proud of her and love her," Briana wrote in response. "Her absence will be significant and she will be very missed on the show."
Like her mother, Briana has also been a part of RHOC, appearing on the show for the first time when she was just 18 years old. Since Season 1, we have followed the lives of Vicki and her loved ones, especially Briana, from her health issues to her marriage to Ryan to starting a family of her own.
Briana, who now lives in North Carolina with her husband and their two sons, Troy, 7, and Owen, 5, made her return to RHOC in Season 14 to celebrate her mom's engagement to Steve Lodge (clip above). "Life in North Carolina is amazing. This is the best year health-wise that I've probably had in the last 10 or 12 years," Briana said during an interview in the episode. "I'm getting really good medical care at one of the best lupus practices in the nation. I've started a Keto diet, and I've lost almost 60 pounds. I think less stress has helped, and we've never been happier, so it's perfect."
Vicki announced her departure from RHOC in a post on Instagram on January 24. "I will always be the OG of the OC, but it’s time to say goodbye to The Real Housewives of Orange County. It’s been an incredible ride for 14 years and I want thank all of you for your support, for your love and for 'whooping it up' with me along the way," she wrote. "I hope you will join me with my new journey so please stay tuned. I love all my fans, and I want to thank Bravo and Evolution for this incredible experience which my family and I will never forget."
Following Vicki's announcement, Tamra Judge also confirmed that she will not be returning as a Housewife to RHOC. “It’s been a wild 12 years,” Tamra wrote in a post on Instagram on January 25. “But it’s time for me to move on. I’m sad to go but I’m very excited about my future.”
