Vicki Gunvalson: I Have Divorce Remorse

Will she take a page from NeNe Leakes' book and remarry her ex?

By Marisa Laudadio

Real Housewives of Orange County star Vicki Gunvalson has a major regret about one major storyline that played out on the show: her ongoing divorce.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Orange County on Thursdays at 9/8c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

"It stinks to get divorced, especially when you still have feelings for that person," she told HuffPost Live. "I have a lot of divorce remorse. I mean, I really, really do."

Vicki, who filed to divorce from husband Donn in 2010 (it's not yet finalized), is sharing the blame for ending their 19-year union. "In hindsight I wish I would have worked harder on the marriage. I think I messed up on some areas and he messed up too," she said. "It takes two people to get married, it takes two people to get divorced."

She says they tried counseling and taking a vacation to work on things before pulling the plug. But it wasn't enough. "It got to a place where we didn’t like each other," Vicki revealed. "It was almost harder to stay together than it was apart, and then when the apart happened, it was like ugh—I missed him."

Is there a chance they might reconcile? Vicki looks at how Real Housewives of Atlanta's NeNe Leakes recently remarried her ex-husband Gregg and admits that she doesn't know if she and Donn could find their way back to each other—but said one thing is certain: "We're family."

"I will always love Donn. I met him when I was 21 and got married when I was 32; I've known him my whole adult life," she said. "He's a great man, we just drifted apart and couldn't figure out a way to get back together."
