Ubah Hassan Reveals Which Potomac Housewife Advised Her Before RHONY Reunion

Season 14 brought a cast of new Housewives to New York, but Ubah Hassan, Erin Lichy, Sai de Silva, Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank, and Brynn Whitfield are getting plenty of advice from Housewives all over the Bravo Universe as they sit down for their first reunion on The Real Housewives of New York City.
Ubah told The Daily Dish before the reunion that she got advice from an O.G. on The Real Housewives of Potomac: Gizelle Bryant.
Gizelle Bryant and Ubah Hassan's Friendship
Ubah didn't reveal what sage words of wisdom Gizelle had for her, but she did tease their conversation.
“She’s like, ‘How are you feeling?’ and I said, ‘You know what, I really love all the girls,’” Ubah said. “This is before I saw all the episodes.”
Ubah recently joined Gizelle as she celebrated her 53rd birthday, and was seen laughing at a restaurant table that included fellow Potomac Housewife Ashley Darby in a birthday video Gizelle posted on her Instagram on Sept. 14.

Ashley also shared a video on her Instagram on Sept. 9 of Gizelle blowing out the candles on a chocolate frosted cake, writing, “Happy Birthday Gizzy! You are such an incredible lady and we are so blessed to have you in our lives! Love you!” The post was liked by Ubah.
Ubah also got advice from her cousin Chanel Ayan of The Real Housewives of Dubai before the season started that might come in handy at the reunion.
“She said, ‘Girl, you’re not a doormat. You show those bitches,” Ubah told The Daily Dish at the red carpet premiere event on July 12, 2023. “She’s like, ‘You’re all women. You are on a women’s show. Don’t go below the belt.'”
What other advice did the RHONY women get from Bravolebs?
Sai shared with The Daily Dish before the reunion that she got “no advice whatsoever” from other 'Wives, while Jenna revealed that she didn’t get advice, but RHONY’s Dorinda Medley did text her with encouragement.
While they might not have gotten reunion tips ahead of time, the newcomers certainly got Housewife advice before and during the season.
“Always tell the truth,” The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Kandi Burruss Tucker told Erin on the July 23, 2023 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. “You never want them to run the camera back on you…always tell the truth.”
Kandi also told Erin to “own anything that you say or do and just stand on it.”
RHONY O.G. Luann de Lesseps also advised the new cast to be authentic.
“If I were to give them any advice, it’s just to be good at being yourself,” Luann said to The Daily Dish in July 2023. “Be true to yourself, because the camera doesn’t lie.”
RHONY’s Sonja Morgan also cautioned the ladies not to let their heads get too big on the show.
“If you start getting a little too heady, and you think you’re it, and you’re the show, [the viewers] don’t really like that,” Sonja told The Daily Dish in July ahead of the premiere of Luann and Sonja: Welcome to Crappie Lake.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills OG Lisa Vanderpump had simple advice for Brynn.
“She said be yourself and have fun,” Brynn said of the Vanderpump Rules boss. “Just enjoy it.”
