Gizelle's Daughters Are Away at College & She's in "Full Throttle" Mode (EXCLUSIVE)
RHOP's Gizelle Bryant told The Daily Dish how she's constantly staying in touch with her three daughters as she settles into empty nester life.
Gizelle Bryant's three daughters Grace Bryant and twins, Adore Bryant and Angel Bryant — are very busy with their studies while away at college. But, in spite of staying busy, The Real Housewives of Potomac mom told The Daily Dish in a new interview that they "stay in touch constantly," even as Gizelle is navigating this new, more independent chapter in her life.
"They call me, FaceTime me around the clock," she explained. "So it's like three teenagers calling their mother, whenever and they want my undivided attention, every single last one of them. If I don't talk to them long enough, it's a problem."
It's not just her daughters individually calling her, either. She said that they're major fans of the group call. "We'll get everybody every three days, we'll get together, and all of us will be on FaceTime," she explained.
Why Gizelle Bryant doesn't identify as an "empty nester"
Despite all three kids living in three different states and attending three different colleges, Gizelle said that she does not identify as an empty nester. "It's not empty nesting. It's Gizelle full throttle," she explained.
This new chapter includes focusing on herself and her business empire, while still maintaining daily contact with her girls. "With business, I would have to always rush home to get them. And same with dating as well," she explained. "But now it's just I do whatever I want to do. It's all about me and making myself happy."
Gizelle Bryant says her daughters are "living their best life" away at college
Grace is currently a sophomore at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, while Adore and Angel are each well into their freshman year first semesters at Hampton University and Spelman College, respectively.
When they're not calling Gizelle and demanding her undivided attention, her kids are thriving while they're away at school. Although their majors are just a little demanding, Gizelle told The Daily Dish that her daughters are doing very well.
"They're great," she explained. "They're all grown up and doing their thing. Dora is pre-law, Angel is pre-med, Grace is in the journalism school. So they're living their best life."
Grace Bryant reveals the advice she gave to her sisters before college
In an interview with The Daily Dish in September, Grace revealed that she had some big advice to share with her twin sisters before they went off to college as she had already experienced college life first. "I told my sisters to always trust themselves and know their worth," she said.
"I personally have known people get lost in themselves and forget why they went to college in the first place," she continued. "I want them to enjoy their experience and embrace who they are."
