Ubah Hassan’s “Mr. Connecticut” is a mystery man no more!
Ubah and her boyfriend made their highly anticipated red carpet debut at the 2023 American Ballet Theatre Fall Gala at NYC’s Lincoln Center on Tuesday, Oct. 24. Ubah was arm and arm with Oliver Dachsel, a German investment banker, according to Page Six.
She wore a silver sequined one-shoulder gown with a high slit, along with silver pointed toe-pumps. Mr. CT, meanwhile, was in a classic black tuxedo with a bow tie.
After portraying herself as single most of Season 14 to The Real Housewives Of New York City ladies, a bomb was dropped in Episode 13 when Ubah spilled to Sai De Silva that she was secretly dating someone. His identity became a source of drama among the Housewives, ending in a season finale fight at Brynn Whitfield’s birthday when Brynn revealed the mystery beau lived in Connecticut.
Who is Ubah Hassan's boyfriend Oliver Dachsel?
But now we know just who Ubah's been seeing.
Oliver Dachsel works as the managing director of Jeffries, a major financial institution in New York, according to his LinkedIn profile. He has 17 years of investment banking experience and has advised on more than $40 billion dollars of completed mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity capital market transactions. He received his master’s degree in economics and business administration from the Otto Beisheim School of Management in Germany, one of the top business schools in Europe, and also finished an executive education program at Columbia Business School in New York, per the profile.
But philanthropy is also important to Dachsel. He has been a board member of the organization All Hands and Hearts since April 2020. The group helps global communities who have been devastated by disasters, doing things like rebuilding schools and homes.
He previously served in a mountain ranger battalion of the German Armed Forces in Bavaria, according to his profile with All Hands and Hearts. Conscription as part of the German Compulsory Military Service Act lasted until July 2011, before the German Bundestag (parliament) decided to allow for volunteer service instead of compulsory military service, according to an article in the Law Librarians of Congress.
How long have Ubah Hassan and Oliver Dachsel been dating?
We know Ubah began dating Dachsel some time during filming of Season 14, which started started in fall 2022 and ended in the winter of 2023. Although the couple kept a very low profile, he did attend the Season 14 invite-only premiere party with Ubah in July. A source told the Daily Mail the two were “inseparable” all night.

“They were together the whole night,” the source told The Daily Mail. “It wasn’t like they were making out, but they never left each other’s side. They were very giggly and she seemed excited to be introducing him to people. She was clearly very happy.”
In the season finale, we learned Dachsel had met the other RHONY Housewives, and Andy Cohen even mentioned meeting Ubah’s beau during the Oct. 8, 2023 episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. Andy described Dachsel as “very handsome, strong, and yes, formidable.”
In the Sept. 10, 2023 episode of WWHL, Ubah described herself as “very much in love and content.”
But will Dachsel appear next season on RHONY? That’s still up for debate, Ubah told Andy.
