Ubah Hassan's Ready to Take a Major Step with Her Boyfriend: "Literally Won the Jackpot"
Ubah explained there's another reason she's eating well on the Season 15 premiere of The Real Housewives of New York City.
Ubah Hassan is still keeping her relationship “Ubah hot” with her boyfriend, more than a year after the two began secretly dating. In fact, she shared on the Season 15 premiere of The Real Housewives of New York City that the couple is now ready to take their relationship to the next level and welcome a baby.
Ubah first began seeing the mystery man dubbed “Mr. Connecticut” by the Housewives during Season 14, after Brynn Whitfield revealed he lived in Connecticut, causing a fight at Brynn’s birthday party. Ultimately, Ubah and Oliver Dachsel, a German investment banker, made their first public appearance on the red carpet at the 2023 American Ballet Theatre Fall Gala at Lincoln Center on Oct. 24. Although the couple played it cool, they also attended the Season 14 premiere party together in July 2023.
Ubah Hassan Reveals She Wants Kids with Boyfriend Oliver Dachsel
She spilled the news when she met up with Erin Lichy and Rebecca Minkoff over a meal in the season premiere.
“So, I think I’m going to set trying in November or December,” Ubah said. “He said, ‘Relax, if it works, great, if it doesn’t, we’ll adopt.’”
It makes sense, as Ubah is glowing as she talks about her man.
“I literally won the jackpot,” Ubah gushed, as she showed Rebecca a picture of her and her beau.
“He’s so into you,” Erin added. “He just can’t get his hands off you.”
“I’m not young, so I was really nervous if he wants to have kids,” Ubah told her friends during the season premiere. Ubah also confessed she’s always been a little on the fence about getting pregnant.
“I never thought I wanted to have a baby,” she said. “I’m a little spoiled when it comes to my sleep. When it comes to doing what I want to do — travel to Paris just to have dessert.”
But all that’s changed since she began dating Oliver.
“When I’m talking to Oliver at dinner time with a little candlelight, I’m like, ‘Yes, let’s do it,’” Ubah said. “I don’t know. It just feels right. You’re good-looking. I’m good-looking. Let’s see if we can produce something.”
Although fans haven’t seen Oliver on the show, he had met the other Housewives by the time the Season 14 finale aired. Erin, for example, has nothing but excitement for the couple.
“When I look at them together, I’m like, I get giddy and excited,” Erin told The Daily Dish in October 2023. “Since I’m obviously married for so long, there’s nothing more exciting to me to watch a friend go through those stages.”
Erin’s husband, Abe, added that Oliver is also getting along with the RHONY husbands.
“It feels like they balance well too,” Abe told The Daily Dish. “Oliver is just a sweet guy, not that [Ubah’s] not sweet, but he seems like a very levelheaded, calm, patient person and I think they complement each other very well. I’m really happy for them.”
Ubah told Erin and Rebecca during the season premiere she’s already prepping for a possible pregnancy.
“I want to get in shape. I’m going to eat well,” she said.
