Find Out Where Bravo's Top Chef Is Heading for the Season 19 Finale

In the May 19 episode of Bravo's Top Chef, it was time for the the final four chefs to pack their bags, not their knives, and head off to Season 19's finale location.

At the final Judges' Table in Houston, host Padma Lakshmi announced where the top four cheftestants will be traveling to for the finals. "I just want to say congratulations to all four of you because you have done an incredible thing. You've made it to the final. And you should know, we're taking you to one of only two cities in the U.S. that is designated a UNESCO City of Gastronomy," Padma revealed. "Pack your bags, because we are going to Tucson."

All of the chefs expressed excitement over going to Arizona for the final challenges of the season, where one contestant will ultimately earn the coveted title of Top Chef. "Get some rest. Do your research. We will see you in Arizona," Padma told the chefs as they exited Judges' Table. "Congratulations to all of you!"

Earlier this week, The Daily Dish caught up with Gail Simmons on the red carpet of NBCUniversal's Upfront, where she also gave us a taste of what we can expect from the Top Chef Season 19 finale. "[It's] a place we've never gone to, a cuisine we've really never deeply explored, and that is really exciting," she said at the May 16 event. "The food just gets better and better."

A sneak peek at the end of the May 19 episode of Top Chef teased that the contestants will be tasked with creating two dishes upon their arrival in Tucson: one featuring cactus and one with chiltepin. "You guys knocked it out of the park," Tom Colicchio tells the chefs in a preview of the final Judges' Table before the finale coming up in next week's episode. "Every single dish was just a standout."

And the accolades don't end there. Another teaser of the Top Chef Season 19 finale (which contains spoilers for the May 19 episode) shows Padma gushing about the "flawless" cooking, while guest judge Eric Ripert remarks, "I mean, it was unbelievable."

Tom also tells the chefs, "That dish was on par with any three-star Michelin dish that I've ever had."

With everyone performing at the top of their game, the stakes have never been higher. "At this point in the competition, every little minor mistake can send you home," one of the final four chefs says in the Season 19 finale preview.
