Top Chef Is Going International for Season 22: Find Out the Filming Location

Top Chef Season 21 may have only just concluded with a jaw-dropping cruise ship finale in Curacao, but Season 22 of the cutthroat competition series is already in the works.
On June 25, Bravo confirmed that the filming location for the upcoming 22nd season of Top Chef will be (drumroll, please)... Canada!
That's right, after spending some time in the midwest with the Wisconsin-themed 21st season, host Kristen Kish and longtime judges Tom Colicchio and Gail Simmons will be making their way up North for the next season.

In addition to announcing the location, Bravo also released a video of the aforementioned judges sharing new details about the season. And it turns out that the Season 22 location is a personal one for Gail, who hails from the Toronto area.
"Hey, guys. Did you hear the news?" Gail says in the video, which mimics a FaceTime call between her, Kristen, and Tom. "I mean, it's pretty big."
"I had no clue..." Tom replies, and Kristen is just as confused to see Gail spending time in Canada.
"Are you there for a family visit?" the Season 10 winner asks.
"No, I'm here checking out the new season location," Gail continues. "That's right, Season 22: destination, Canada."
"Shut the front door, this is epic!" Kristen exclaims once she hears the news.
"Bring on the poutine and maple syrup," Tom adds.
"I am so excited to show you guys around," Gail shares. "Oh, and by the way, my parents are literally prepping their guest rooms as we speak, so be forewarned."
The video ends with the three judges expressing their excitement in unison.
"Canada, here we come!" they say.
A premiere date for Top Chef Season 22 has yet to be announced, and fans will have to stay tuned to find out which cheftestants will be competing.
