How did Gail Simmons and Jeremy Abrams meet?
Both hailing from Canada, the duo met through mutual friends. After a year as friends, Gail and James decided to take a chance on love. “Eventually, we started looking at each other differently, realized that we were attracted to each other, and started dating,” Gail said in an October 2019 interview with Streets of Toronto.
As for their first date, Gail had Tom accompany her to an “opening party” at a New York restaurant, where they met the New Jersey Devils, who just so happened to win the Stanley Cup at the time. What’s more, the couple got to chat it up with the hockey team and even got to drink champagne with them out of their trophy.
“Even to this day, Jeremy and I talk about that night all the time,” Gail told the news outlet. “The Stanley Cup brought us together.”
When did Gail Simmons marry Jeremy Abrams?
Following their one-year engagement, Gail and Jeremy officially tied the knot on August 17, 2008, with a modern, farmer’s market-inspired wedding at The Foundry in Long Island City, NY.
“We got married outside in a gorgeous landscaped garden, and all the flowers at the wedding were dahlias,” the Top Chef judge explained about her special day to the Streets of Toronto.
Gail and Jeremy’s wedding was featured in Martha Stewart Weddings, giving a peek inside their stunning decor and it highlighted the bride and groom’s stylish dress and tux.
Does Gail Simmons and Jeremy Abrams have kids?
Gail and Jeremy have two beautiful children: a daughter, Dahlia, and a son, Kole.
During a November 2022 interview with OK! magazine, Gail shared that she enjoys “watching [Dahlia and Kole] in the kitchen.” The mother of two also revealed that her mini-me’s often provide feedback on her cooking.
"Sometimes they tell me I'm not the best, but that's part of being a mom!" Gail admitted to the publication. “But generally, yes, they like my cooking. They appreciate that is my job and they know it's my job, but they also like to spend time in the kitchen with me. It's really good quality family time."
More recently, Gail took to her Instagram to post a series of photos and videos documenting her family’s trip “in the woods.” Two photos featured Dahlia and Kole spending time with a baby goat.
“Cozy, rainy weekend in the woods with fine (occasionally furry) friends and plenty of maple syrup,” she captioned the March 11 post.
