Teddi's Kids Had the Sweetest Surprise for Baby Dove’s Arrival at Home
The RHOBH cast member and her newborn daughter were welcomed home with love.
After delivering her daughter Dove Mellencamp Arroyave on February 25, Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave is home with her baby girl. And The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member came home to the sweetest surprise: Her kids had made signs and drawn pictures welcoming their new baby sister!
One sign read, "WELCOME HOME BABY DOVE!!!" and another featured a picture of a stork carrying some precious cargo. Teddi also shared photos of her two kids, Slate, 7, and Cruz, 5, cradling Dove. (Teddi is also stepmom to Isabella, 11, husband Edwin Arroyave's daughter from a previous relationship.) It looks like the older kids are definitely embracing their new roles in the family!
Teddi is also sharing how she is feeling three days after giving birth in an Instagram post. She wrote, "My Day 3 postpartum reality: It is unbelievable, unconditional love. It is an incredibly powerful bond that Dove and I share. It is tears of joy watching Edwin light up when he’s with her. It is bursting with pride watching my older kids gently, lovingly & eagerly jump into their new found big sibling roles."
She also shared a funny quip from her son: "It is lots of laughs when Cruz asks why my stomach hasn’t deflated."
Teddi concluded her post, which you can read in full below, by writing, "It is overwhelming gratitude for each friend and family member who shows up without judgement, only to bring you love & food. It is a constant roller coaster & I wouldn’t change it for the world. My baby girl is here and I love her more than words can say. We each have our own journey and this is mine."
