Tamra Judge Shares That She Has Been Diagnosed with Melanoma
The #RHOC fitness guru is opening up about her recent health scare.
Tamra Judge has been diagnosed with melanoma, she shared in an Instagram post on Sunday.
The Real Housewives of Orange County fitness guru broke the news with a photo that showed the freckle that led to the diagnosis, which is located on her buttocks. "I work out hard for this Booty. I was planning on competing again in November at 50 years old, but I'm not sure that's happening now. [I]t looks like God has a different plan for me," Tamra began the Instagram post. "[I'm] showing you this picture because this is what melanoma looks like."
Tamra went on to explain that she wanted to share the news and the photo with the world in order to raise awareness and encourage others to get their skin checked. "I don't want sympathy, I want you to save YOUR ass and get your skin checked," she wrote. "This was just a small black flat freckle.... I had no idea! [I'll] be fine because my faith is strong and my Ass ain't bad either."
The RHOC mom admitted that this news hasn't been easy to deal with, but she's staying positive as she gets ready to turn 50 on September 2. "I've been a little sad, worried and pissed off. But we caught it early and that makes me happy," Tamra concluded the post. "Happy birthday to me. #saveyourass birthday party in Cabo not sounding like a good idea now."
Tamra previously opened up on Instagram about going under the knife to treat skin cancer in January.
She also reminded fans to get their skin checked when that scar on her arm from the surgery was visible during a recent episode of RHOC.
