Wait, Lelee Lyons From SWV Writes Erotica? What to Know About Her Steamy Alter Ego
Lelee Lyons says there's more to her than just being a member of the super successful '90s R&B group SWV. She also is working on a sensual new book.
Leanne “Lelee” Lyons might be one-third of the powerhouse R&B group SWV, but she also knows a thing or two about great sex and storytelling.
Lelee and her longtime music partners, Cheryl “Coko” Gamble and Tamara “Taj” Johnson, recently teamed up with fellow ‘90s girl band XSCAPE for the limited series SWV & XSCAPE: The Queens of R&B. But when not on stage or in the music studio, Lelee can be found writing erotica, most recently for her upcoming audiobook The Adventures of Sister Hot Pussy.
“Sister Hot Pussy is my alter ego,” Lelee told producers. “Where she’s confident, she’s sexy, she doesn’t care what people think about her.”
The audiobook would be a follow-up to her 2019 memoir I Regret the Day I Lost My Virginity: You Are Not Your Past. Lelee said she wanted to do something “a little more fun” and “risqué” for her second book, which she describes as an erotic love story and a a testament to female empowerment, loving one’s self, and sexual liberation.
“Women, we hold so much back when it comes to sexuality,” said Lelee during the series’ third episode while in conversation with her son, Khiry.
The Sister Hot Pussy persona seemed to first publicly appear in 2020 during Episode 233 of the Lip Service podcast hosted by radio personality Angela Yee (listener discretion advised).

“I literally have to turn into Sister Hot Pussy to really have great sex,” Lelee said in the podcast. “She’s open to whatever feels good. Sometimes, when I hear stories about me, I’m like, ‘Was that me, or was that Sister Hot Pussy?’”
No word yet on when plans for The Adventures of Sister Hot Pussy will come to fruition, but it’s forward movement for Lelee, who's been open about her struggles following the 1998 break-up of SWV.
“I’m setting myself up so I can be a better me,” Lelee told her son. “I don’t want to be just the girl from SWV. That ain’t enough for me.”
Lelee, a mother of two, faced financial issues following the disbandment of SWV, which led to her being unhoused in New York City and living in her car. Speaking to Bravolebrity Bethenny Frankel, Lelee said she’d reached the point of contemplating suicide.
“I would drive around New York City all night until about 4:30, 5:00 in the morning because I didn’t want to go to sleep there at night because I wanted to limit my chances of somebody raping me,” said Lelee. “So I would wait until about 5:30 in the morning, and I would go to sleep in [the] Yankee Stadium parking lot.”
Speaking with her son, Lelee explained she “straight up took control” of her life by returning to school to earn her G.E.D. and maintaining employment in an office.
“I was in charge of my life,” said Lelee. “I was in charge of my finances.”
Lelee contends that though the experiences were negative, they made “one helluva beast” out of her.
Though fans may have to wait for The Adventures of Sister Hot Pussy to see its release, I Regret the Day I Lost My Virginity is on sale now.
To see more of Lelee’s process, watch SWV & XSCAPE: The Queens of R&B, airing Sundays at 9:30/8:30c on Bravo and streaming the next day on Peacock.
