Danielle Olivera Reveals What It Will Take to Repair Her Friendship with Lindsay Hubbard (EXCLUSIVE)

Though Lindsay said she was “hopeful” she could make up with Danielle, she later called her a “bad friend.”

By Shannon Raphael

The friendship beef between Danielle Olivera and Lindsay Hubbard seems to only be getting more complicated. Before the ladies went to the Hamptons for Summer House Season 7, they were the best of friends. However, as the trailer indicated, their once-tight connection will begin to deteriorate when Danielle questions how quickly Lindsay is moving in her relationship with now-fiancé, Carl Radke

While fans will have to keep tuning in to find out what exactly happens between Danielle and the Hubb House PR founder, the two have each publicly shared some insight into their current friendship status.

They've both confirmed that they haven't been in contact with one another since the summer, though Lindsay said on an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that she was "hopeful" that they could hash out their issues before she ties the knot in the fall of 2023.

“As far as public[ly] mending our friendship, I think the challenge is that we haven’t really seen each other," Lindsay said on the late-night talk series. "From what I’ve heard, she is working through some things in her personal life, and we’re planning a wedding, so I think that just, right now, we’re just on different paths.”

During an exclusive chat with The Daily Dish, Danielle reacted to Lindsay's WWHL comment, and she shared what it would take for her to be able to move on with her former best friend.

"I mean, it's awesome to hear her say that, of course," Danielle said about her ex-bestie's desire to get back on track before her wedding. "But, actions speak louder than words, especially in a public forum."

After she broke up with Robert Sieber in November 2022, the Brooklyn resident said that she would have wanted to get some sort of support from Lindsay.

"I'm going through a lot in my life right now, and it would be great to have her," Danielle continued. "But, I think I'm going to leave it in her court because I think I've done enough on my end. I've said what I needed to say. Time will tell, but I haven't heard from her, so that, I think, says a lot."

While appearing on the February 27 episode of the Mention It All podcast, Danielle added that she did not hear from Lindsay at all after her relationship with Robert ended.

"Either you're going to reach out, or you're not. It bothers me that we haven't gotten to that point yet, of reaching out, especially [with] what's going on in my personal life with Robert," Danielle said on the podcast. "I thought there was like a hope that maybe she'd be like, 'Hey, I know we're not in a good place right now; we're not speaking, but I just want to let you know that I heard what was going on, and I'm here for you.' Something like that. But, no, she's planning a wedding, so."

After a clip from the podcast was posted, Lindsay entered the chat by chiming in on the comments section.

"No... I didn't reach out because I wasn't ready to forgive all the things she did and said over [the] summer — where she made it clear [that] she was not in support of my growth [and] happiness," Lindsay wrote, per @CommentsByBravo. "You cannot be a bad friend to someone, and then expect them to be a supportive friend back to you. Makes no sense. Sorry."

Though Lindsay thought that Danielle was a "bad friend" during the summer, the 34-year-old did defend Lindsay and Carl during a group dinner in Episode 2 while the couple was away in California for a wedding. Danielle told The Daily Dish that she doesn't regret sticking up for Lindsay and Carl, even though she's no longer in a good place with them.

"I definitely go a little too hard sometimes, with how overprotective I can be," she explained. "I could probably scale back a little bit, but I'm always going to be that kind of person. I'm always going to be that kind of friend. I don't know how to switch that off."
