Danielle Olivera Just Weighed In on the Lindsay Hubbard Friendship Drama
During an appearance on WWHL, Lindsay also revealed the major “challenge” that is preventing them from fixing it.
Ever since Danielle Olivera and Lindsay Hubbard teased that their friendship was in an “unfortunate” place at BravoCon 2022, Summer House fans have been eager to find out exactly what happened between the two former best friends in the Hamptons last summer.
The Season 7 trailer provides some context for their falling-out, as Danielle questions how quickly Lindsay is moving in her relationship with Carl Radke (the pair became engaged in August 2022), and Lindsay feels like her pal “bashed” her the entire summer. Meanwhile, Paige DeSorbo tells Danielle that she is a “very good friend” to Carl and Lindsay, and asks, “Do they give you that?”
Ahead of the February 13 premiere, Lindsay told Entertainment Tonight that she doesn’t know “the exact moment” when her friendship with Danielle changed, but she believes it could have been when Paige made that comment (which was during a weekend when she and Carl were not at the house). “The girls are now convincing Danielle that maybe we’re not good friends to her,” Lindsay told ET — and Danielle had something to say in response to that.
“Come on,” Danielle wrote in an Instagram Story featuring a clip from Lindsay’s chat with ET, along with two thinking emojis, an exploding head emoji, and the eyes emoji.
While Lindsay says she can’t pinpoint exactly when her friendship with Danielle began to deteriorate, she is optimistic that they will be able to fix their relationship.
“As far as public[ly] mending our friendship, I think the challenge is that we haven’t really seen each other,” Lindsay shared on the February 13 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. “From what I’ve heard, she is working through some things in her personal life, and we’re planning a wedding, so I think that just, right now, we’re just on different paths.”
During a game of “Don’t Second Guest Yourself,” Lindsay and Carl were asked to extend a wedding invite to either Danielle or Southern Charm’s Madison LeCroy.
Lindsay admitted that the choice was a “tough one right now,” but she had hopes that she would make amends with her former bestie by the time her wedding rolled around.
“Danielle and I just haven’t really made up quite yet, so…” Lindsay said. “But I am hopeful that we will by the time we’re married, so I’ll say Danielle.”
