Karen Huger Gives Her Honest Take on Gizelle Bryant Dating Jason Cameron
The Real Housewives of Potomac grande dame had some things to say about the 17-year age gap in the cross-franchise relationship.
The Real Housewives of Potomac reunion wrapped on March 5, but viewers had not seen the last of Karen Huger — nor heard the last of her opinions. Immediately after the finale of the three-part Season 7 reunion, Karen appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. While in the Clubhouse, the variety show host did not hesitate to share her feelings on Gizelle Bryant, 52, dating Winter House cast member Jason Cameron, 36.
When a caller asked Karen if she had met Jason and what she thought of the romance, here’s what the grande dame had to say: “I find it ironic, actually,” she purred, with a slightly shady smile. “[There are] 17 years between them, and [Gizelle] has a problem with me being within a 17-year age difference.” (A bit of background: Karen’s husband, Ray, is 17 years her senior.)
“[Jason is] dating other people too, isn’t he?” Karen continued. “Ray’s dating me. He’s married to me. So I think that if you’re going to date younger, it needs to be exclusive.” The grande dame has spoken!
Meanwhile, Karen isn’t the only Bravolebrity who has weighed in on the cross-franchise romance. When Summer House’s Kyle Cooke appeared on WWHL on February 20, he shared his own take on the situation.
“I saw them last week, and first of all, I’ve never had the chance to meet Gizelle,” Kyle said. “So I was like first of all, ‘You’re a bombshell, you’re beautiful.’ And then I’m like, I can’t believe this is happening.”
“They seem to be very happy and [were] cuddling up last night, so I’m gonna ship [the relationship],” Kyle continued. “There’s a little age difference, but who cares?” Certainly not Andy Cohen! “I’m so happy that [Gizelle is] with a hot young guy,” Andy said.
Gizelle confirmed her budding romance back in January. She revealed that a recent outing with Jason “was definitely a date” — and a good one at that. “He’s a great guy,” Gizelle told Today about her new beau. “And we have a lot of fun.”
Jason and Gizelle were initially set up by their friends and castmates Ashley Darby and Luke Gulbranson. Luke and Ashley had a brief romance themselves before going their separate ways at the end of 2022.
