New York City Housewife Brynn Whitfield Made Us Blush with Her Dating Tips

Brynn Whitfield gave a few lessons on love and confidence at the red carpet premiere for RHONY Season 14, including how to do The Triangle.

By Jax Miller

The Real Housewives of New York City’s Brynn Whitfield may arguably be one of the franchise’s flirtiest Housewives yet. RHONY fans are wise to listen because Brynn is giving away her tried-and-true methods to perfect the art of flirting (wink, wink).

How to Watch

Watch the Season 15 premiere of The Real Housewives of New York City on October 1st at 9/8c on Bravo and stream next day on Peacock.

The Daily Dish recently caught up with Brynn at the RHONY Season 14 red carpet premiere on Wednesday, July 12 to discuss how the new Housewife’s flirtatious ways are threaded throughout the new season.

When asked for her top three flirting tips she could share with fans, this was Brynn's invaluable advice:

Brynn’s Flirting Tip #1: It’s All in the Eyes

“Bat your eyelashes,” the 37-year-old bachelorette told The Daily Dish. “Always, seriously, bat your eyelashes.”

Brynn maintained that batting your lashes so many times per minute can make you “40 percent more attractive.”

“I know, it sounds silly,” she confessed.

But the concept isn’t that silly, actually. Some experts say people giving the flirty flutter raises the “level of sexual arousal” and blinking faster “may reflect sexual excitement.”

And don’t forget, fellow RHONY newcomer and fashion guru Jenna Lyons is the C.E.O. and co-founder of LoveSeen, a brand for false eyelashes, which surely can’t hurt anyone’s cause.

Brynn’s Flirting Tip #2: The Flirting Triangle

Brynn gave The Daily Dish a red-carpet demo about next utilizing the flirting triangle. The concept is that when speaking directly to your romantic interest, you first look in the person’s right eye, then the mouth, and then their left eye, creating an invisible shape of a triangle.

The flirting technique has recently gained popularity on TikTok, where millions have discovered the “foolproof” method.

“See, I made you blush,” Brynn said after trying the trick on us.

Dr. Bruce Y. Lee, writing for Psychology Today, says the jury’s still out on whether the method works.

“Although there doesn’t seem to be any peer-reviewed evidence of its effectiveness, the Triangle Method is based on some reasonable rationale,” said Lee. “It facilitates eye contact, which demonstrates interest and enhances connection. That seems natural and, frankly, obvious.”

Lee said looking at a person’s mouth “may be a lead-in to a kiss.”

Though some say the method might be more of a gimmick than a game-changer, it’s certainly working for Brynn!

Brynn’s Flirting Tip #3: Own That Sh-t

Brynn told The Daily Dish, "Confidence, honestly," was paramount to Brynn’s case for the flirt.

“Energy is real,” she said.

There doesn’t appear to be any shortage of confidence or energy for Brynn in the RHONY reboot, even when she’s not feeling like her usual self. She maintained, “It doesn’t matter how hot you look.”

“If you’re not truly feeling yourself inside, listen to some dope music before a date,” she advised. “I’ve literally made a playlist on Spotify just to get myself jazzy, and just walk in like you own that sh-t, and then you will.”

Brynn on Being Part of RHONY’s New Lineup

Discussing what “an honor” it was to be representing New York City — along with new cast members Jenna, Ubah Hassan, Jessel Taank, Erin Lichy, and Sai de Silva — Brynn said she is excited to be part of the historic RHONY reboot. She was reminded of that upon a recent arrival at LaGuardia Airport and driving around the city.

“I feel like I’m working for the mayor’s office or something; it’s such an honor,” the Housewife from the Midwest told The Daily Dish. “It was a dream to move here, let alone to mildly succeed here. And now, to do something like this, it’s surreal. It’s crazy.”

As they say in the Big Apple, if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere!
