Brynn Whitfield has been on a major hair journey this fall after cutting her long auburn locks into a bob. And now The Real Housewives of New York City cast member has revealed the latest update in her ongoing hair journey.
Brynn took to her Instagram Story on Sunday, October 27, where she hosted a Q&A session with her followers. The NYC-based marketing and communications consultant answered multiple questions about her sense of style and her recent haircut. "What prompted the haircut?" one follower asked.
"Trying to get back to this: natural," Brynn wrote over a clip of a throwback video of herself, showing off her natural curls.
"This video was during Covid," Brynn continued. "When I didn't put heat on my hair for 5 months and the curl pattern started to come back."
Brynn also revealed that her hair hadn't been much longer than her current bob once she took her hair extensions out and got a fresh trim. During the same Instagram question and answer session, she showed off her hair before getting it cut in early October. "This was my hair without extensions after we trimmed the dead ends off," she wrote over the snapshot.

Brynn took to Instagram on October 4, where she filmed a video inside a salon, where she revealed that she got an impromptu haircut. "Unplanned," Brynn wrote over the video. "Came with Alyssa to get her hair cut and [I was] in such a good mood I just randomly thought why not."
"We trusted," Brynn explained in the Instagram video at the time. "It wasn't planned. And we're doing it. Isn't it crazy? I love it!"

But by the time Brynn got in the car post-haircut, she was just a little unsure about her new hair look. "Don't know how we feel [right now]," Brynn wrote over the photo.
Three days later, in an interview with E! News, Brynn explained that she was just a little regretful about her decision to cut her hair. "I immediately regretted it," she said. "I cried. But now I finally like it."
She further explained her reasoning behind her haircut. "I was in LA with my really good girlfriend," she said. "She was getting her haircut at Paul Jean on Robertson and he was like, 'Your hair's holding you back.' I was like, 'Tell me more, Frenchman.' And he just cut it off."
