Tamra Reveals Why She Had Surgery (Multiple Times) and How She’s “in a Little Worse Shape” Than Expected
RHOC cast member Tamra Judge also shared how her husband, Eddie Judge, is helping her while she recovers.
Tamra Judge has taken to Instagram to update fans on her recent abdominal surgery, revealing why she needed to have the procedure on her abdomen last week and adding more details as to why she had to undergo more than one procedure.
“Hey guys, just wanted to say Happy New Year. I’m in a little worse shape than I expected. But I got a pain pump right here [and] drains,” The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member shared while updating fans via her Instagram Stories following the procedures. “[I] went in for revision of a hernia surgery that I had 10 years ago. And I went in [and got] a little more than I bargained for. [Dr. Donald S. Mowlds] found another hernia and my upper stomach and my entire abdomen was covered in scar tissue. So he had to dissect all of that. So I’m in just a little bit of pain.”
Prior to sharing that update, she revealed that the “pain is brutal” as she was heading into her second surgery and added that she’s “in good hands [Eddie Judge].”
Tamra has always been open about her health over the years, including opening up about having to undergo that surgery for a hernia, and she has been equally candid about being diagnosed with skin cancer in the past. She and Eddie have also taken fans inside his health struggles after he was diagnosed with the heart condition A-fib several years ago.
Back in July, Tamra confirmed she was returning to RHOC for the upcoming Season 17. “I think being off for two years is probably the best thing you could have ever done to me, even though I didn’t like it. But yeah, I was on the show for 12 years. Once you’re on for that long, you become a professional ‘Housewife,’” she said during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen at the time. “You go on to live a normal life, and you come back and you’re like, ‘I was kind of an a--hole.’ So you come back with a different perspective. And I saw that when I filmed [The Real Housewives] Ultimate Girls Trip. I totally felt it.”
