Kyle Richards Reveals Where She Currently Stands with Kathy Hilton Amid an Emotional Season 12
The RHOBH cast member previews the emotional Season 12 reunion featuring her sister.
With the three-part The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 12 reunion set to kick off on Wednesday, October 12, Kyle Richards is still feeling a lot following the emotional sit-down with the cast, as well as friend of the group Kathy Hilton, who just so happens to be her sister.
Given the ups and downs following the Aspen trip and the subsequent reunion, Kyle revealed how things are with her sibling today. Kyle noted to E! News that “things are not great right now” following the reunion taping. “We’re a family and we’ll always come back together,” she said of having “high hopes” for their future. “I know that’s why I was so emotional at the reunion. For me, I don’t think people realize how much it affects my family and the relationships, and I have been holding that in for so long, and that’s why I felt so emotional.”
It was a sentiment she mirrored when speaking to Extra: “We’re sisters. We’ll be fine. The reunion is coming up — it’s a three-part reunion. People will see what happens there… We are family at the end of the day, we are blood, and you have to make things right.”
As Andy Cohen and Erika Jayne previously confirmed, this reunion marked the first time the cast didn’t take a photo together. And Kyle shed more light on that when speaking to E! News: “It was the first reunion that we left and we didn’t have drinks or dinner or do a group photo or hug or anything. It was just done, so I kind of was left with not a good feeling, and just trying to work through that.”
While Kyle has been on RHOBH for all 12 seasons, she confirmed to E! News that this reunion “was the most difficult one I've ever done and that I wish it had gone differently.”
In fact, in a backstage interview with BravoTV.com prior to the taping, Kyle admitted she was already feeling a rush of emotions about the reunion before the cameras even started rolling (video below).
“I feel, like, not good,” she said during hair and makeup, adding that she was also feeling “anxious” and “dreading” the sit-down given everything the cast faced throughout the season.
Find out what else Kyle and the other RHOBH ladies shared backstage, below. The three-part reunion kicks off with Part 1 on Wednesday, October 12, so mark your calendar and also jot down the dates for Part 2, slated for October 19, and Part 3 on October 26.
