Erika Jayne Opens Up on Her Complicated Relationship with Her Mom
The RHOBH cast member's mother, Renee, came to visit her on Season 13, Episode 5.
Erika Jayne got more candid than ever about her relationship with her mother on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 13, Episode 5 (which aired on November 22).
The Bet It All on Blonde star discussed their ups and downs over the course of her mom's visit. She only stayed a few days, despite her initial joke that she planned on being at Erika's house "for a couple of years."

Erika Jayne's Childhood with Her Mother
Upon the arrival of her mom, Renee, Erika shared some context about their relationship in a confessional interview. "My mother and I are very close — in age. And a lot of times growing up, she felt like a sibling instead of a parent," Erika recalled. "We had a good f-cking time, she and I. I would sneak around and go clubbing with her and her friends. I would have a drink. I was living like I was 20 and I was 14, 15."
But while Erika may have been having fun with her mom, the nature of their relationship came to change over the years.

Continuing to discuss the dynamic between her and her mom, Erika said in a confessional, "My mother and I have had our good times and our bad times. And yes, there have been times that I didn't want to talk to my mom. She visits me in LA about once a year for a couple days and then we start getting on each other's nerves."
That much soon became clear when Erika and Renee found themselves arguing over the dishes. Erika's mom noted that she didn't do them because she expected a housekeeper to, but Erika explained that she can only have said housekeeper come "once a week."
"That's all I can afford," she added. "This ain't no five days a week sh-t no more."
Amid that conversation, Erika said in a confessional, "My mom and I are only good for about 24 hours, and then we start picking at each other. Now, she will tell you that I do not get on her nerves, but I know I do. And I am woman enough to tell you she gets on my nerves."
Back in conversation with her mom, their talk turned to that of the past. More specifically, the two began discussing a time when things weren't so great between them, but in spite of that, Renee still attended one of Erika's Broadway shows.
Erika expressed that she felt Renee's appearance was "somewhat of an ambush," but she's ultimately glad she got to see the show.
The mother-daughter duo continued to chat from there, and at the end of the visit, Erika concluded, "I love seeing my mom. I'm grateful that she supports me and I'm grateful that she's leaving and I'm dropping her off in the Valley. I've reached my limit and I'll see you for Christmas, Renee."
