Here's How Ciara Really Feels After Watching Paget's Flirting with Georgia on Below Deck Sailing Yacht
Paget Berry addresses his behavior with Georgia Grobler this season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht.
Paget Berry started off this season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht already taken, having been living and working with his girlfriend, Ciara Duggan, aboard the Parsifal III. However, that hasn't seemed to stop Paget from getting a little flirty with Georgia Grobler this season, raising the eyebrows of many Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans.
The first mate addressed his behavior with Georgia during his appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen: @ Home on April 13 (clip above). "I definitely feel watching it back and seeing, I definitely would change a few things about my interaction with Georgia," Paget told Andy Cohen via video chat. "But at the end of the day, Georgia and I, we're good friends and we're just having harmless, friendly jokes. I think if you can't have a friendly joke with the opposite sex nowadays, then it's a bit of a shame."
In fact, Paget said during the WWHL: @ Home After Show that he didn't even think his conversations with Georgia were something he needed to flag to Ciara. "I didn't, no, because in my mind, I'm a bit oblivious when it comes to the whole flirting thing," he explained (clip below). "I never told Ciara, 'Hey, do you think that's weird?' I just went with it and just thought it was normal in my opinion."
Georgia told The Daily Dish in March that she and Paget just had a "very sincere friendship," as did she and Ciara. She also admitted that though she was flirty with Paget, that is typically how she interacts with everyone. "But I mean, like, have you heard me talk to anyone?" she said. "Like, this is just how I speak."
Ciara has said on Below Deck Sailing Yacht that she isn't bothered by how Paget interacts with Georgia, and the deckhand maintained the same attitude while appearing on WWHL: @ Home with her boyfriend while the two work on a boat in Italy. She said that she was probably about a 2 on a scale of 1 to 10 of how annoyed she was with Paget for engaging in Georgia's flirting. "To be honest, I didn't even really notice it that much. I mean, I think I definitely flirted — in a non-sexual way — I definitely flirted with Georgia a lot as well," Ciara said. "I didn't think anything of it."
We even saw Ciara getting in on the flirting with Georgia when she seemed to invite the third stew to a threesome with her and her boyfriend during the crew's day off earlier this season. "I honestly don't remember very much from that evening, so I don't think I was serious at all. I think it was just me being me with Georgia because that's kind of how our relationship is," Ciara said of her invitation. "It was more just me being drunk and flirtatious with someone, and Georgia having that equal sense of humor."
Though Ciara said that her bringing up the threesome idea was "definitely not" done to get Paget to pay more attention to her, it still seemed to have that effect on her boyfriend. "Well, I paid more attention after that," he admitted on WWHL: @ Home.
Captain Glenn Shephard ultimately alleviated any concern when he gave his take on Paget and Georgia during this episode of WWHL: @ Home. "I wouldn't say he's crossing a line. He's definitely pushing at it. He's pushing the envelope," the Below Deck Sailing Yacht boss said in the below clip. "I think being a little flirtatious is OK if it doesn't go any further than that. Obviously, if it were to go any further than that... And in my career I've seen some crazy stuff, way worse than that."
We're going to need Captain Glenn to elaborate on that another time.
