Meghan King Tells the Real Story Behind *That* Recent Giant Engagement Ring Photo
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum cleared up what's really happening in her life after posting some new selfies.
Meghan King recently had some fans wondering more about her relationship status. The Real Housewives of Orange County alum has had some high-profile relationships in the past, but she is not in one currently or, at least, not engaged, despite a recent photo she shared of herself wearing an engagement ring.
The mom of three took to her Instagram account on Sunday, October 20, where she posted a series of 17 photos taken from her life "lately." In the photos, Meghan posed with her adorable dog, went to a pumpkin patch with her kids, hung out with a friend's baby, showed off her outfits, and documented her recent travels.
Meghan also included a photo wearing a massive solitaire diamond engagement ring, accompanied by a super sparkly diamond band, worn on what appeared to be the ring finger of her left hand, in the photo carousel.
Some of her followers were just a little confused as to why she would post a photo of the ring on her engagement finger. Especially since she hasn't publicly announced that she's in a relationship. Luckily, Meghan took to the comments of the post, where she cleared a lot up after a fan asked if she's engaged.
"No but I got to try on the ring," Meghan wrote in reply to one commenter. "And it's a fabulous ring at that."

It's safe to say that the real estate agent has not exactly been excited about dating recently. She took to her Instagram account on October 3, where she posted a hilarious video of her, talking to the camera about dating.
"Dating in your 30's is like walking into the Spirit Halloween store on Halloween," Meghan said in the video. "You look at what's left. All you get is the gargoyles. Then you realize you're not in your 30's."
"The scariest story there ever was...." Meghan, who turned 40 in late September, wrote in the caption of the post. "BOOOOOO."
Meghan King's life update on her 40th birthday
Meghan took to Instagram on her actual birthday, where she posted four separate photos of herself, and revealed that she felt "kinda sad" when she woke up on the morning of her 40th birthday.
In the caption of the post, Meghan wrote that being a single mother of three has not been easy, but she's been able to do so much.
"I've had three kids, got married and divorced (more than once, I love big and hard and I will love big and hard forevermore; my heart is open despite it all), I've learned to scuba dive, built a sewing center in Africa, brought awareness to sex-trafficking in Cambodia before it was mainstream to talk about...took my kids on 14 (yep I counted) trips as a single mom — scraping the money together because I believe there's nothing better to feed young souls..." she wrote.
"So yeah, I'm not where I thought I'd be, I'm so much more flavorful than the vanilla life I imagined I'd live," she continued. "Here's to a more peaceful next decade with a little less spice and maybe just maybe a little more vanilla (ice cream, obviously) also — song lyrics."
