Monica Garcia Shares Surprising Updates on Her Divorce and Blanket Business
The RHOSLC cast member admitted that she "didn't expect" this from her business.
Those who tuned in to Part 1 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 4 reunion on January 9 saw Monica Garcia reunite with fellow cast members Lisa Barlow, Heather Gay, Whitney Rose, Meredith Marks, and Angie Katsanevas for the first time since the Bermuda trip, and they heard Lisa explain the sentimental meaning behind her $60,000 ring — but there are a few things that Bravo viewers did not get to see.
An uncensored version of the first part of the reunion dropped exclusively on Peacock on January 9, and it featured a series of unseen moments. In one moment from Part 1, Monica discusses the latest in her separation from her ex-husband. In another, she shares a surprising update on her blanket business.
Scroll below to find out what was revealed during the uncensored reunion cut.
Is Monica Garcia legally divorced yet?
When Monica joined the other ladies for Season 4, she was separated from her husband, Mike Fowler (the two had previously divorced and had gotten remarried). As host Andy Cohen shared on Peacock's version of Part 1 of the reunion, the pair finalized their second divorce in October 2023.
Andy asked Monica how it felt to have her marriage in the rearview mirror after a long separation. "I mean, we've been separated for two-and-a-half years, so it kind of just feels the same, honestly," she said.
Monica Garcia's Baby Blanket Business
Early on in Season 4, Monica opened up about her baby goods business, Brea Baby. “I started a company called Brea Baby selling baby swaddles, blankets, [and] crib sheets,” she shared in an interview about the company on Season 4, Episode 2.
Monica then addressed the status of her business on the reunion. "When COVID hit, I just shut everything down..." she said about why her company wasn't listed as a profitable asset in her divorce documents. "Manufacturing stopped. I feel like everyone in the world knows, when COVID happened, everything shut down, and I pretty much shut down."
When Monica joined the cast, her business began to boom again.
"I want to restart it," Monica said. However, when Heather wondered if the site was "active" and if customers could "get blankets today," Monica responded, "Yes."
She noted that she had just had an issue keeping up with orders.
"I didn't expect people to buy that much, so I had to re-order, and I refunded a lot of orders, actually," she said.
The RHOSLC Season 4 reunion continues with Part 2 on January 16. Stream episodes the next day on Peacock.
