Margaret Josephs Welcomes "New Baby Edie Into the Family": "It's a Girl!"
RHONJ's Margaret Josephs and Joe Benigno's new dog Edie is "so loved."
Margaret Josephs and Joe Benigno's family just grew by one, as they welcomed their "new baby" puppy, Edie.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey took her Instagram feed on October 17 to share a look at an adorable photoshoot she and Joe just did with their new bundle of joy.
"It’s a girl! We are excited to announce we welcomed our new baby Edie into the family this October," she wrote in the caption of her announcement post. "Weighing just [three pounds one ounce] with an abundance of thick hair and a warm excitable spirit."
Margaret's carousel featured a series of black and white photos. In the first, Margaret and Joe can be seen cradling their new dog in bed. The second was a solo shot of Joe holding the newborn, and the other two images showcased Edie posing in the Benignos' home.
"She looks just like daddy but already has mommy’s wicked sense of humor," Margaret concluded in her caption. "Edie Bouvier Benigno, you are so loved."
Just a few days before Margaret made her formal announcement, Joe took to Instagram to share a sweet photo of Edie curled up in a pair of his work boots.
"Guess we know who [Edie's] favorite person is!!" he joked in his caption.
"Them’s fighting words," Margaret replied to her husband.
Margaret Josephs' dog, Bella, passed away in July
Just a few months before Margaret and Joe welcomed Edie, they said goodbye to their rescue dog, Bella. Margaret shared the sad news that Bella had passed away on Instagram on July 14.
"Our living angel baby Bella has gone over the rainbow bridge," she wrote in her emotional tribute. "Our world and hearts are broken. She was the perfect, happiest little [BFF] in the world. Always ready to kiss, cuddle, play and brighten up your darkest day."
Margaret added that Bella "loved everyone (except for landscapers) and everyone loved her."
"A piece of me died along with her," she continued. "She was a rescue but in reality she saved us."
In a comment underneath her daughter's post, Margaret's mom, Marge Sr., added, "I am so heartbroken, she was the center of our life every day. Bella gave us so much love."
Now, Margaret and Joe are the proud pup parents of Edie.
