Naomie Olindo Introduces the Big Addition to Her Life: "Hi World, Meet Olive"
The Southern Charm alum also provided an update on her fur baby Omlete.
Naomie Olindo has a new and very adorable companion.
On Thursday, October 31, the Southern Charm alum took to Instagram to reveal the latest addition to her fur family: a sweet Labrador retriever named Olive. Naomie confirmed she adopted the pooch Lowcountry Lab Rescue — a volunteer-operated nonprofit that rescues dogs from South Carolina shelters.
“Found starving on the side of the highway in Columbia, SC by a Good Samaritan,” Naomie captioned a photo of Olive. “Thank you to [Lowcountry Lab Rescue] for my new baby and Omlete’s new sister that he doesn’t want!… Can’t wait to get this girl healthy and happy.”
Naomie Olindo's Pet Family
As a longtime animal lover/advocate, Naomie is no stranger to parenting fur babies. During her time on Bravo, fans got several looks at the designer’s precious cat Gizmo, who died roughly a year after Naomie’s Southern Charm exit. She confirmed the loss in a series of 2021 Instagram posts, which included a photo of her late dad, Joel Olindo, petting Gizmo.
“I have very sad news to share today. Gizmo went to my dad in heaven on his 18th weekend,” she wrote in her Stories. “To say that this little kitty lived a FULL life is an understatement.”
A year after Gizmo’s passing, Naomie announced she had adopted the aforementioned cat Omlete.
“Last slide to remember the day I was just hungover enough in [Petco] to impulse-adopt Omelet…” she captioned a July 2022 Instagram. “A year and a half and a few pounds later the rest is history. I love u Omelet!!!”
Naomie Olinda shares her cat Omlete's adorable Halloween costume
After introducing the world to her new dog, Olive, Naomie blessed fans the cutest update on Omlete.
“With all the commotion I forgot to share Omlete’s Halloween costume,” she captioned another Story, which showed her fur baby wearing a yellow-and-white striped shirt and a crocheted bonnet with a little egg on top. “He is (obviously) a fried egg. His best friend Blue was a chef so it makes more sense together. He hates his costume.”
Naomie Olindo's Life Today
Since leaving Southern Charm in 2022, Naomie has purchased a gorgeous Charleston home and has expanded her fashion brand L’Abeye. The French-born, South Carolina-raised designer spoke about the company in a 2020 interview with FitsNews, saying she launched the brand as a “hobby.”
“I got a Master’s degree in finance, thinking it was the more ‘respectable’ thing to do,” Naomie explained. “I definitely use my degree daily working at L’ABEYE, which I wouldn’t have expected. I really hadn’t ever planned to be in e-com selling clothing but now seeing what it can become if it’s done right – we plan to keep expanding L’ABEYE month by month.”
