Andy Cohen Reveals Why Lisa Vanderpump Was “Everything” at the Season 10 Reunion
Andy Cohen opens up about the Vanderpump Rules boss at the Season 10 reunion.
Amid the many, many, many revelations and emotional moments of the Vanderpump Rules Season 10 reunion, VPR boss and matriarch Lisa Vanderpump has been caught in the middle of the drama.
During Part 1 (which aired back on May 24), she found herself in the middle of the action and later clapped back amid all the ups and downs of the reunion. With Part 2 of the Season 10 reunion out this week on Bravo (May 31) and Peacock (June 1), we’re getting more insight into what it may have been like for Lisa as the cast dealt with one of the most emotional season-ending events to ever happen for the group in the wake of Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval breaking up following his affair with Raquel Leviss.
Reunion host Andy Cohen recently revealed all in a chat with The Daily Dish about all things Vanderpump Rules reunion.
Lisa Vanderpump at the Season 10 Reunion
“I think she was trying to kind of be a little bit of a voice for Tom,” Andy told The Daily Dish in a phone interview in May. “I think she was trying to be [everything] — she was everything. She’s, on the one hand, slapping Tom’s wrist a lot, and on the other hand, trying to get people to maybe bring it down a little bit.”
Lisa Opens Up about the Vanderpump Rules Season 10 Reunion
Previously, in an interview with Us Weekly, Lisa addressed the tensions and emotions of the reunion, telling the outlet, “There [were] a lot of feelings that needed to be worked out.”
Lisa also spoke about how she handled dealing with Tom in the wake of the revelation that he had cheated on Ariana, sharing, via Page Six, “A lot of people criticized me and said, ‘Why didn’t I jump on him and chastise him and berate him [during the finale]?’ But everybody had done that already.” She noted that she “absolutely [condemns]” his infidelity, adding, “But I think when you have a child or a teenager or a young adult … when they’ve done wrong and everybody’s told them, what’s the point in me reiterating it? He knew that, OK? So yeah, I was trying to say, ‘Calm down, let’s try and look forward.’”
How to Watch the Vanderpump Rules Season 10 Reunion
The Vanderpump Rules Season 10 reunion, which began on Wednesday, May 24, on Bravo, will air Part 3 on Wednesday, June 7 at 9/8c.
Peacock will exclusively stream Vanderpump Rules: Pumped Up Edition, a first-of-its-kind extended version of the three reunion episodes, as well as a supersize “Secrets Revealed” episode. The uncensored extended versions will feature additional never-before-seen footage of the Bravo offerings, exclusively on Peacock the day after the reunion episodes air on Bravo.
When speaking to The Daily Dish, Andy noted that, overall, once the reunion wraps up, “I think it really delivers. Because I think what people want is retribution and they want these people to be confronted with what they’ve done, and they’re going to get it.”
He added, “I think it’s one of the most highly anticipated reunions that I can think of. I mean, [it] started months ago, obviously. And I think the reason everybody is so invested is that they want to see some sort of a reckoning [with] Tom and Raquel, and they’re going to get it. They want to see them confronted by Ariana. They want to see them confronted by their friends. And it was incredibly confrontational. What can I say?”
But wait, there’s more! Following the three reunion episodes, Bravo will air a “Secrets Revealed” episode with additional dramatic and scandalous moments behind the affair that jolted the zeitgeist. Tune in on Wednesday, June 14, at 9/8c.
