Andy Cohen Describes the Mood Backstage at the Vanderpump Rules Season 10 Reunion
The WWHL host opens up about what it was like to film the emotional Vanderpump Rules Season 10 reunion.
When the Vanderpump Rules Season 10 reunion trailer dropped, fans got a glimpse of what Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss were talking about backstage, as well as a few other moments that took place off the reunion set (check it out above).
The teaser gave fans a small taste of what their mood was like that day as they joined the rest of the Vanderpump Rules cast to reflect on the season and, most notably, their affair that ended his nearly decade-long relationship with Ariana Madix.
“It was the first time most of them had seen each other,” reunion host Andy Cohen recently told The Daily Dish, pointing to the fact that only weeks before the reunion filmed, Tom and Ariana had broken up amid rumors of his affair with Raquel. “It’s the first time the viewers will see Ariana confront Raquel. And you know, I was glad I got to sit down with the three of them one-on-one.”
The Vibe Backstage at the Vanderpump Rules Season 10 Reunion
Part 1 of the reunion aired on Wednesday, May 24, and now we’re hearing from Andy about what it was really like behind the scenes on that day earlier this spring. He noted that while Tom and Raquel “had minimal interaction onstage in front of everyone, you will see them together backstage.”
Overall, he described the tone backstage as “very emotional and a lot of anger.” He added, “Everyone was kind of doing their own thing. The women were together. Katie [Maloney] and Lala [Kent] and Ariana were together.”

At the time of filming, Raquel and Scheana Shay couldn’t be in the same room together. “[It] didn’t really have an effect on me. We just brought Scheana in and brought her out. I mean, it wasn’t that dramatic, to be honest,” Andy said. He did note, however, that when the seating arrangement included Raquel instead of Scheana, the vibe in the room did change. “Well, yeah. When Tom and Raquel were out there [it was different energy]. When Raquel was out there, people were really on her.”

How to Watch the Vanderpump Rules Season 10 Reunion
The Vanderpump Rules Season 10 reunion, which began on Wednesday, May 24, on Bravo, will air Parts 2 and 3 on Wednesdays at 9/8c.
Peacock will exclusively stream Vanderpump Rules: Pumped Up Edition, a first-of-its-kind extended version of the three reunion episodes, as well as a supersize version of Secrets Revealed. The uncensored extended versions will feature additional never-before-seen footage of the Bravo offerings, exclusively on Peacock the day after the reunion episodes air on Bravo.
When speaking to The Daily Dish, Andy noted that, overall, once the reunion wraps up, “I think it really delivers. Because I think what people want is retribution and they want these people to be confronted with what they’ve done, and they’re going to get it.”
He added, “I think it’s one of the most highly anticipated reunions that I can think of. I mean, [it] started months ago, obviously. And I think the reason everybody is so invested is that they want to see some sort of a reckoning [with] Tom and Raquel, and they’re going to get it. They want to see them confronted by Ariana. They want to see them confronted by their friends. And it was incredibly confrontational. What can I say?”
But wait, there’s more! Following the three reunion episodes, Bravo will air a Secrets Revealed episode with additional dramatic and scandalous moments behind the affair that jolted the zeitgeist. Tune in on Wednesday, June 14, at 9/8c.
