Jim Edmonds Sheds New Light on the Threesome Claim with Meghan King
The former baseball player spoke to Andy Cohen regarding his split from the RHOC alum.
When Jim Edmonds sat down with Andy Cohen for an interview on SiriusXM's Andy Cohen Live, he was asked about previous reports about his marriage to Meghan King Edmonds and comments made by The Real Housewives of Orange County alum in which she said the couple engaged in a threesome.
"I'm going to cut you off right there. That was all false too. That was a joke. I don't even know how she comes up with this stuff," Jim told the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host on his radio show this week. "To be honest with you, I mean, if we really want to go down that road, she was the one that was pushing for them. And I was like this is completely ridiculous and she just made up these stories."
In the interview this week, he continued, "I think that she really needed a storyline for her radio show. It's been make believe for a long time. So I'm just glad that I'm out of it and I'm happy and everything's going good. And I'm turning my life around."
When contacted by PEOPLE, Meghan, who first discussed the threesome on her Intimate Knowledge podcast earlier this year, had no comment on Jim's interview.
The comments vary from what Jim has said in the past about the threesome: “As far as threesomes go, there were more than a few initiated by Meghan and only Meghan. Recently, I have learned that she carried on with a few of these women without me being present," Jim said in his statement to PEOPLE in January. "Would that not be considered cheating? How can she have a podcast talking about intimacy and relationships when she has neither?”
It was nearly a year ago that Meghan and Jim confirmed their split after five years of marriage and three kids, Aspen, Hart and Hayes, back in October 2019.
Since then, their split has played out in public with both Meghan and Jim issuing comments about the status of their divorce. In recent months, Meghan has dropped Jim's last name from her Instagram handle and bio. Both Meghan and Jim have each moved on to new relationships as well.
