Jessel Taank's "Al Capone List," Explained: "She's Been Taking Notes the Whole Time"

"When someone rubs me the wrong way I start making a checklist," said Jessel Taank.

Don’t get mad, take notes.

How to Watch

Watch the Season 15 premiere of The Real Housewives of New York City on October 1st at 9/8c on Bravo and stream next day on Peacock.

Turns out fashion publicist Jessel Taank has done that since Season 14 of The Real Housewives of New York City began.

In an Episode 11 shocker, it came out that Jessel has kept a written record of slights from fellow castmates, and just how they’ve made her feel.

Jessel’s Al Capone list, explained

Jessel’s secret came out after the group went out to lunch. Erin Lichy had left early, Sai De Silva and Jenna Lyons drove themselves back in one vehicle, while Jessel, Ubah Hassan, and Brynn Whitfield drove back in another.

Brynn mentioned that Erin had referred to Jessel as the “dum-dum of the whole group.”

Jessel was not pleased. “Who is she to make that judgment? … I have a f-cking checklist that I keep on my phone about this bitch.”

Brynn and Ubah were shocked.

“Jessel’s a gangster,” said Brynn. “We’ve got Al Capone in the backseat!”

Jessel explained that not everyone is on the roster but — “I have a list of people I have a feeling about,” she said.

As she read from her list, it became evident that she has many feelings about Erin.

“Number one is when these girls abandoned you for Casa Cipriani, I f-cking stayed with your dumb ass and had dinner. Number two. You f-cking tell me that I'm used to being catered to. No one and nothing has catered to me.”

Jessel wasn’t finished.

“You tell me that I f-cking come from a rich f-cking family and you’re accusing my family of buying my apartment,” said Jessel.

“This list is longer than a CVS receipt,” cracked Brynn.

“When someone rubs me the wrong way I start making a checklist,” Jessel told producers. “If you rub me the wrong way once it’s mental. Twice? It’s on my phone.”

When they caught up with Sai and Jenna along the road, Brynn and Ubah couldn’t wait to share what they’d just discovered.

“Jessel is Al Capone,” said Brynn, while Ubah added, “Jessel has a list. You better not be on the list.”

“She has been taking notes this whole time,” said Brynn. “You’re like the receipt queen.”

As they all arrived at Sea Villa, Ubah said, “I can’t believe I’m sharing a room with Al Pacino.”

“I thought it was Al Capone,” said Jenna.

“Al Capone, Al Pacino, whoever,” said Ubah.

Later that evening, Jenna, Erin, and Sai discussed the list before dinner at the villa.

“Did you hear that Al Capone thing?” asked Jenna.

Sai filled in Erin: “So apparently she keeps notes on what everyone says and how she feels in that moment, so she can bring it up at another later date.”

When Jessel was asked about her Al Capone list at the RHONY premiere by The Daily Dish, she gave a bit more context of why she keeps a list.

“I have a thing with memory,” she said. “I always want to remember details because it helps me regurgitate emotions.”

She also said that Erin is most prominent on the list.

Asked when she will share the list, she said, “Probably never.”
